We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Phyllis Douglass. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Phyllis below.
Alright, Phyllis thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
The defining moment was with my mother’s passing from cancer. A few years prior to her death, see phoned me and asked, “I don’t understand why I am becoming like you”. Trying not to be offended, I asked her what she meant by her statement. She told me she no longer believed in God, and was confused about why her religious beliefs were faltering.
I told her that it was because she had opened the door, by researching and teaching her comparative religion class at her church. And opened herself up to multiple religious perspectives and beliefs, that were different from her own that she had grown up with. Then she asked me both a vulnerable and powerful question.
“What happens when you die?”
I stated my understanding of God, and as an intuitive seer and Medium, I told her what I knew about life after death, once we have made our transition from the physical body. I stated as a precursor, “This is what I know. . .”
Two weeks after her memorial service, we traveled to family in Scottsdale, Arizona. My sister-in-law asked me if I would hold a Spirit Circle for herself and some friends, and I agreed.
As we sat within the dimmed living room, and I began to open up to Spirit, a bright rectangular light opened up on the opposite side of the room. As it formed, two figures stepped into view–Archangels Michael and Azrael.
Michael said, “We have someone here that refuses to do anything else until she speaks to you.”
They both reached back and grabbed someones hands, pulling them into view. It was my mother!
As tears streamed down my face, my mother told me, “Honey, I want to tell you how much I love you, and how proud I am of you. I knew that I had to come back and tell you, that you were right all along!”
I thanked her, and though shaken by the experience, I knew it to be the best thing that had ever happened in my life. She had come back ‘from the dead’, to reassure me that my beliefs and what I knew within myself to be truth, was indeed true!
The experience changed the trajectory of my entire life.
It allowed my heart to fully open, and for me to set out upon my spiritual path with renewed trust and faith; no longer fearful of where it would lead me.

Phyllis, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have been surrounded by Angels since I was a little girl who served as my teachers, guides, and protectors. I was very spiritually open, and my gifts evolved and became stronger as I got older. I have completed many courses and trainings in the healing arts, and honed my skills and gifts at every opportunity.
I am a vocal and embodied conduit for the consciousness of Elohim, work alongside the Angels, am a Spiritual Medium and Healer, Speaker, Author, and a Multidimensional Sound Artist performing in-person and online with clients and students all over the world. I also create alchemically activated spiritual healing tools from copper, stones and gems that I sell online.
My work with Elohim permeates everything that I do. And my focus is on clearing the influences–past, present and future–that are keeping you from moving forward in your life. This work that is my passion and gift, is about guiding my clients home to Self, and understanding the truth of who they are, and the power they hold within.
Sessions focus on the use of frequency, energy, resonance and vibration, all of which are a part of our physical and spiritual makeup. Through the frequency encoded Language of God’s Light that streams through my voice, and energy that emanates from my hands, I reveal, balance and align ones physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and energetic aspects, to bring back harmonic resonance, and a sense of wholeness. This can include referencing ancestors, past lives, and loved ones who have crossed over.
The Vocal Alchemy Transmissions and Retreats that I offer in-person and online, have a theme or prescriptive purpose that Elohim wishes to share for the spiritual awakening, healing, and evolutionary ascension of humanity.
I am in essence, a Prophetess and Messenger for God.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy has always been to just keep doing the work, getting myself out in front of people, and allowing my skills and expertise to organically evolve as I’ve progressed forward. People do not know who you are or what you have to offer, if they never meet, see, or hear about you!
Social media has been my biggest asset for building an audience, growing my clientele, and selling my sacred copper artifacts. It took me awhile to become brave, and to create posts that are vulnerable and telling, of who I truly am. I give people a peek on the inside of what makes me tick, and why I do what I do, and how it’s transformed my own life. I also post short videos, and event replays so that people can experience my work, and get a feel for who I am.
I’ve learned that it’s not about HOW you do something. It’s more about the outcome of the work, and meeting people’s goals.
You must build a level of trust with people, before they will hire and pay for your services.
There were multiple times that my playing it small, succumbing to fears about what the future might hold if I were to continue within the spiritual field, or listening to naysayers with differing beliefs, left me feeling stuck and unsure of myself.
I would ask, “Who am I to think that I can do this and be successful?”
Well, why not you?
The thing is that no matter what field you choose to pursue, you have to like it. It has to hold your interest and make you excited to push on. If not, you are destined to maybe have a lot of money, but not a lot of happiness.
I know that when we truly follow our hearts, the universe responds positively in kind. If you are living to fulfill someone else’s expectations for who you should be or do, you will not find the joy and fulfillment we all seek, because you are out of alignment.
I follow my intuition; the voice within my heart that knows exactly why I am here on this planet experiencing a physical life. And what I am here to do. My intuition has always been a guiding and trusted source of inspiration.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The lesson I learned is that if you have a desire to do something in your life, don’t wait thinking that a better time will present itself.
I was walking alongside my father in a senior care facility. He was dying of kidney cancer that could not be treated.
He said something to no one in particular that really shook my world, being as he was 93 years old.
He chuckled to himself, and looking off into the distance said, “I thought that I would have more time to do some of things I’ve always wanted to do.”
I just stared at him in shock. Here was a man who was one of the original Tuskegee Airmen, and was well revered and adored within our community. He was a Deacon within our church, and won awards for the work he had done with the U.S. Forest Service as a Personnel Manager. He lived for the outdoors, camping and fishing out on the lake at every opportunity.
From my outside perspective, he had lived a rich and full life!
Yet, buried deep within him were wishes and desires he had never let see the light of day. And he was going to die holding onto regrets for what never was.
I knew in that moment, that I would not allow this to happen to me!
I do not want to be on my deathbed having similar thoughts. Worse yet, I have seen people act as if their entire life was a total failure, because they didn’t do something they had always wanted to do–before they became too old.
Now when I am inspired to do something, or have a desire to experience something new, I find or create a way to do it. And just because you may be a more ‘mature’ adult, doesn’t mean that you can’t try something new and different, and have adventures!
They may look a little different than they might have when you were 20 years old, but who cares!
Always positively fuel your mind, body, and soul.
