Alright, Philly thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?

The legacy I’m hoping to leave behind is generational wealth, love,honesty,and comedy. I would love for people to say she never gave up;Always approached obstacles with common sense and compassion. I would also hope people would remember me by my presence my work ethic the fact that i can take the lead and also share the spotlight and the ability to make you smile and feel good about yourself! Or laugh to keep from crying. I always try to treat people the same as I want to be treated I’m a big believer of that!

Philly, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Well my Name is Philly Chica. Im from Philadelphia pa hence the name! Philadelphia often gets a bad name im here to dispell the rumors I was always a character even as a child I would put on talent shows for my entire family.
As a child I also had a passion for hair! I started on my dolls more specifically “My little pony” and than it turned into me doing my aunts hair roller sets at the age of 6 for $10 once I figured out I can get paid to do hair and make people feel better about themselves it was on from then on! I have worked on celebrities, background dancers, community leaders movie sets being a cosmetologist allows you into unique spaces listening to your clients even sometimes being a therapist.

Becoming an on air personality is another aspect of me I’m enjoying very much! I’m bringing me unfiltered uncensored and the crowd love it! What sets me apart is I’m not an act! I am me! I give the same 200% I would to those who close to me. I’m a fixer so I don’t like seeing others in distress I’m immediately ready to help wither its making you laugh or slaying your hair and makeup to give you confidence! I exude great positive energy!

That’s majority of the people I know my surroundings my city my family all helped create the strong talented funny beautiful Chica you see today!

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

I am a mommy of three beautiful children two grads from high-school and one 4th grader that’s what drives me! Aside from the passion I have for my craft knowing my children are watching and learning lights a fire under me. I love hearing my children brag about me. I’m tearing up writing this!

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

A lesson I had to unlearn is entertaining the trolls. Like with good there is evil. I had to understand not everyone will see it for you! And that’s fine just prove them wrong and keep going! I had my first child at 16 I was told how my life was ruined…well I had to prove them wrong . Yes being a teen mom made my road more rougher to travel but guess what I’m cruising now!
