We recently connected with Phillip Williams and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Phillip thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Growing up in South Bay San Diego their are not many places for growth, especially of the african American decent who want to strive for more in this community. My mission is to have a becon in the community that is black owned and help people grow in all facets of life. Services I want to Incorporate are Photography studios, Fitness/ athletic training, co opt space, and content creation & support to all.
These days everyone must leave the area to get services that interest them and as a person who grew up in the area I want to house the indivisuals is this area that want to stive for greatness. My focus is to keep the conversation in higher ups that the cities west of the 805 freeway can be relavent.
A Staple in this community is a key point of what Prime Example will forever strive for. Collaberate with local businesses, artist and creators to uplift all to a better life.

Phillip, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Raised in South Bay San Diego since 2000 and graduated high school from MAAC Community Charter School in 2009.
With many avenues he could of taken I decided to attend Southwestern College to try for my A.A in communications. After playing football for the SWC Jaguars for one year an opportunity to play international football
approached and I took it. After a few years of playing in minor leagues, I got his first major contract in 2016 in
Costa Rica where he won a national championship. To this day I try to inspire more people through his football journey and determination.
Beyond the game of football, making a positive impact on his community so I chose to slow his
football career playing football and started working at his old school (MAAC Community Charter School) as an assistant P.E coach. Been at MAAC for 8+ years but want to give more in the community. As I see the area of town I grew up in struggling to stay growing and relevant my mission is to put a black man like myself in position to help in talents I have grown.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Just as a Black man in the city of San Diego, pivoting seems to be the norm. With high rise prices, it is hard to strive for anything past your everyday routine. waiting to start my busines because of Relying on others for support and help with my business has been a failure. I showed posititivity and poise to try and gain as much as I can on my own and just started the business decpit the minimum support. Keeping busy to find the common grown where big donors with support will come and go but my work ethic must continue.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Social media content has been the main option for me. I do not have the funding to create websites as of not nor do i have a permanent address for my business. I network with ofther creators and businessman to find as many clients as possible
