We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Phillip Kellman a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Phillip , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?

I would say my first studio album “Sweet Melody” was my most meaningful project to date. That album is a compilation of songs / notes from my heavenly father, some that are over 7 years old. I was also the biggest step out i’ve made in the ministry of music as well.

Phillip , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I am a creative for the Master Creator, JESUS. And for Him I do all things and to Him I do all things. I am a creative and my main expressions are visual and musical arts. I am a singer , songwriter and producer and Ive been in the industry for about 6 years or so. My purpose is to direct people to hope through the music I write and produce. Believe it or not Im just a “regular guy” with “regular guy” everyday problems and struggles like everyone else who has a gift of music with hope to share.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is hearing ” that song ministered to me.” It goes way beyond the crowd enjoying the music. But when It actually helps and brings hope to that one person, that makes every second in the studio worth it.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

The goal is to spread the message of Jesus to youth in a modern and engaging way featuring an exciting mix of genres, which tastefully covers important themes such as LOVE & FORGIVENESS, RESPECT FOR GOD AND OTHERS, SELF-WORTH, AMBITION, and NON-VIOLENCE among many others relevant to our youth.

I believe my music is a timely and very necessary injection into the current counter culture atmosphere, which has many teeter tottering on the brink of meaningful existence and worse still, many unfortunately literally losing their lives.
