We recently connected with Philip Blair and have shared our conversation below.
Philip, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you get your first job in the field that you practice in today?
2014 I entered cannabis business through a physical therapist colleague whom I consulted on whole body vibration. As a result of my questions, understanding of physiology and out of box reasoning, he offered me a position in his newly formed cannabidiol company as a clinical director. In this capacity I learned the ropes about cannabis of which I was totally ignorant. I developed lectures, articles, advised clients, witness extraordinary healing and traveled the world for 6 years in the business.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Dr Philip Blair a retired US Army Colonel with 27 years in the service and 45 years in clinical practice. I want to introduce myself as an expert in a nutraceutical that has enormous potential for the well-being of millions of people. In 2014 I started working for a cannabis company and learn the ropes with regard to the Endocannabinoid system. I promoted CBD for six years and during that time I recognize the value of one of the entourage ingredients called β-caryophyllene. I had the molecule formulated into a highly bioavailable substance. To my surprise I learned that it had all the benefits of cannabis but without any side effects. In fact, BCP is found in thousands of plants besides Hemp and has been promoted widely in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine but until now it’s not been available in a format for absorption and it’s not been recognized for its true value. I’ve used this product on thousands of people and found enormous value in regulating pain, anxiety, depression, and inflammation problems. Furthermore, it reverses neurodegeneration and eye disease. In my research, I found that it is FDA approved, has no toxicity, no adverse effects, and no drug interactions. There’s over 3500 articles in pre-clinical literature but only 13 human studies have been done. I produce BCplus from clove oil in an oral liquid, capsule and a topical formulation for which I’ve received hundreds of testimonials. I’m currently engaged with researchers to study BCP and pain and Gulf War illness. I offer health coaching consultations for all major disease, research & marketing consultation on BCP, and private label products to business at BlairMedicalGroup.com.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I transitioned from US Army Colonel, MD, director of primary care and emergency medicine into occupational medicine, then primary care & emergency medicine at Alaska native American village, then VIce Pres of disease management for Innovative Health Strategies, then Medical Director and CEO of Tele Nutrition Therapy, then senior medical consultant for Elixinol a cannabidiol company, and finally developer, researcher and CEO of β-caryophyllene company Blair Medical Group, offering the leading, effective, and safe product for pain, behavioral, neurodegenerative, retinal and cancer support disorders.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Switch from conventional to functional medicine philosophy and practice…occurred in transition from disease management to Nutrition therapy incorporating plant derived substances to replace standard pharmaceutical. Saved $557,000 in medical prescription cost by switching arthritis patients on Tumor Necrosis Factor drugs (TNFa) to cannabidiol in a medical self insured group of businesses.
