Hi Persis, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

Meaningful music releasing

Persis, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I’m a 22 year old artist. I’ve always loved music I grew up in the church so I mostly grew up listening to gospel but I love all music in general. I started writing the end of last year as a way to release a lot of the things I was going through. I just want to be able to help someone with emotions they may not be able to put into words as best as I can but still have all those feelings. I make music about how I’m feeling in the moment and I think that’s what makes me so versatile. I love engaging with people who enjoy the music I put out and even showing more of my personality on social media like tik tok and instagram. I’m just excited to be able to share what I love with the world I know not everyone will understand or like what I have to say but I do I think that’s the only thing that ever mattered.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

I think my biggest goal is to learn more about myself. I mean of course I would love to make money off of what I love doing most, I don’t care for the fame at all, but just to be able to take care of the people I love and live comfortably. That and me being happy is most important to me. That’s my main goal forever to be as happy ad possible, never change my art.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding thing to me really is seeing strangers excited about me releasing music. Or for a stranger to even complement my music is rewarding because I feel like your friends and family have like a duty to support you but strangers don’t owe you anything. So I think someone’s honest opinion being that they love my music is the biggest reward
