We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Persia Bella. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Persia below.
Persia, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
Back in college, when I got my first credit card, I remember going straight to the store and buying every hair product I could get my hands on, just to see what worked for my curls. From MixedChicks to L’Oréal, Redken, Biolage, DevaCurl etc, I tried it all.
Now, years later, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in the hair care industry. It’s been such a full circle moment and a reminder that passion and persistence really do pay off.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Persia Saviss, content creator, educator, and storyteller in the beauty and lifestyle space. My journey started years ago when I was in college and got my first credit card. I remember going straight to the store and buying every hair product I could find, just to experiment and learn what worked for my curls. That early curiosity sparked a lifelong passion for hair care and authenticity in beauty.
Today, I create content that’s rooted in real experiences, from curly hair routines and product education to conversations around motherhood, healing, and growth. My work lives across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, where I connect with a community that values transparency and intentionality.
What sets me apart is my commitment to working with brands I truly align with. I don’t take partnerships lightly. If I promote a product, it’s because I believe in it. That authenticity is what makes my storytelling so relatable and impactful. I’ve built trust with my audience by being honest, thoughtful, and consistent, and that’s something I take a lot of pride in.
I’m most proud of turning my personal journey into a platform that inspires and educates others. I want potential collaborators and community members to know that my brand is built on integrity, heart, and connection, and that when I show up, it’s always with intention and purpose.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One of the most defining moments in my journey was sharing my story of surviving a tragic and painful relationship. It wasn’t easy to open up, but doing so became a turning point—not just for me personally, but for my entire platform. That vulnerability gave others permission to feel seen, to speak up, and to know they weren’t alone.
Through storytelling, I turned my pain into power. What started as sharing my truth evolved into building a space where others could feel safe, supported, and inspired. As I healed, I found my voice again through beauty especially in embracing my natural curls. That transition into my curly hair journey wasn’t just about hair; it was about reclaiming identity, confidence, and joy.
I’m proud that my platform reflects both resilience and realness. It’s not just content—it’s community. And I’ll never stop using my story to help others find strength in theirs.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
One of the biggest resources I wish I had earlier in my creative journey is the knowledge of my own worth. In the beginning, I was just excited to be creating and collaborating but I wasn’t always properly compensated for my time, talent, or impact. I didn’t know how to advocate for myself or what to look for in a contract.
Now, I understand the value I bring. I’ve learned how to negotiate, how to read and understand contracts, and how important it is to set boundaries that protect both my creativity and my integrity. Knowing your worth changes everything and I hope to be that resource for others who are just starting out.
