Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Pearline B. . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Pearline , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
All of my projects have great meaning to me. For I don’t believe creating anything without a meaning and purpose. When you have a meaning before even starting a project you will have more loyalty and excellence in completing the project. My last meaningful project was my album, “Silent Relief.” Which talks a lot of what I been through. But, also has a song entitled, “Stop Me.” That is about my parents 1st fight as a married couple. That is meaningful. My family and life lessons.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a singer, songwriter, musician, on air personality, hostess, model, and entrepreneur born and raised from Philadelphia. I started singing in church. That’s also where I started to write music and drums. Once I sung my 1st solo on the children’s choir and hit that note right. I knew I was created for this. Then in elementary I learned the alto saxophone. Middle school I learned piano. With my music you will hear great blends of gospel and soul and a feeling of being understood with your own emotions and inspiration. After college I fell in love with a talent I wanted to explore silently for years, radio and now podcast. My show, “Just Being Me Pearline B.” Where you can be you and talk all about you and what you do. You can talk about life or promote your brand, music, or business. I love encouraging people! I am here to give everyone that feel good great energy through creativity. Be it music, acting, radio/podcast, events I am hosting or my clothing line. My brand is about expressing yourself! Knowing thyself! Loving thyself!

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
It’s hard to say the most rewarding. I would say the process. Sense I love the whole process of creating. From the idea in my head to seeing the finale project. To seeing people’s reactions.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I was super excited to start my next album, “Silent Relief.” But, after meeting with the studio manager and engineer. I realized it would cost more than I had. So, I went and put in overtime at work and saved my tax return to save more money for the project. So, we started to record!!! But, then Covid-19 hit and we had to put a pause on recording. Then we did what we could separately. He started to work on just music at home and send the tracks to me to see what I loved or didn’t. I record the voice overs I wanted for the intro and outro. Then when the world somewhat opened up. We got back to recording. What a journey that was.
