We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Pearl Mashour. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Pearl below.
Pearl, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to do something meaningful, something that creates real change in women’s lives. But it wasn’t until I went through my own transformation that I found my purpose. When I discovered the world of life coaching, something inside me clicked. I knew I wanted to help other women find their path, too, to stop settling and start living with intention. I earned my first coaching certification, but deep down, I didn’t feel fully qualified. I’m someone who believes in mastery. When I commit to something, I want to know my craft inside and out.
So, I began searching for the right program, one that focused specifically on women’s empowerment. I had no idea if such a thing even existed. And when I told people that’s what I wanted to do, they’d tilt their head and ask, “What does women’s empowerment even mean?” That reaction lit a fire in me. It showed me how misunderstood and how needed this work still is.
My search led me to the S.W.A.T. Institute (Simply Women Accredited Trainer), founded by the incredible Crystal Andrus Morissette. Crystal was my teacher, but she also became my inspiration and dear friend. I poured myself into every class and every assignment, determined not just to learn, but to embody what I was learning.
At the same time, another dream began to rise within me. I had always loved broadcasting; something about connecting through words and voice lit me up. That’s when I decided to create a podcast. I wanted to build a community where women could get to know me in an authentic, personal way, and if they felt called to go deeper, they could connect with me as a coach.
But I’ll be honest, launching wasn’t easy. I’m not tech-savvy, and between my coursework, my three kids, and my responsibilities as a mom, it felt like a juggling act. I spent hours on YouTube, Buzzsprout, and podcast forums, teaching myself everything about how to record, edit, choose music, design a logo, and invite guests. It was stressful, messy, and imperfect, but it was mine.
I began with two dear friends: Anna Marquez and Nasim Boggs, who trusted me with their stories. That gave me the courage to reach out to others I’d met at conferences years before. I kept a notebook filled with names, notes, and dreams, people I hoped to one day interview. I’m forever grateful to those early guests who said yes: Dr. Sohee Jun, Alexa Carlin, Ashley Bernardi, and Ahyiana Angel.
Through this process, equal parts heart, hustle, and faith, Female Fluence was born. It became both a coaching program and a podcast: a platform to help women stop waiting for permission and start reclaiming their voice, confidence, and truth.
Today, what began as a quiet idea during late nights and early mornings has become a movement, a reminder that when a woman decides to rise, she doesn’t just change her life. She changes the world around her.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Pearl Mashour, an educator, empowerment coach, podcast host, and founder of Female Fluence, a movement designed to help women stop waiting for permission and start reclaiming their voice, confidence, and truth. My work was born from both passion and lived experience. After years devoted to raising my three children and supporting my family, I found myself asking, “Who am I beyond everyone else’s needs?” That question led me on a deep personal journey, one that awakened my purpose to help women rediscover themselves, too.
I became certified through the S.W.A.T. Institute (Simply Woman Accredited Trainer), where I specialized in women’s empowerment coaching. From there, Female Fluence was born, a fusion of my two passions: teaching and storytelling. As a former educator, I’ve always believed that knowledge only matters when it creates transformation. And as a storyteller, I know the power of sharing truth out loud.Through my coaching programs, podcast, and speaking engagements, I help women break free from perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the patterns that keep them silent or small. My clients come to me when they feel stuck, invisible, or disconnected from themselves. Together, we rebuild their confidence from the inside out, through reflection, setting boundaries, finding purpose, and taking aligned action.
What sets me apart is the soul behind the strategy. I don’t just coach from theory, I coach from truth, vulnerability, and lived wisdom. My approach blends practical tools with deep self-reflection, allowing women to experience both personal and professional transformation.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
My story of resilience began when I turned 40. It was a season when my body, mind, and spirit all seemed to collide. I started experiencing health issues that left me exhausted and uncertain. Doctors offered medicine to numb the pain, but something inside me whispered, this isn’t just physical. Deep down, I knew my body was trying to tell me something.
Yes, there was inflammation, but there was also disconnection. My heart was speaking to me through my body, reminding me that I had stopped loving myself. I had forgotten the younger version of me, the woman with dreams and desires beyond everyone else’s needs. I was living for others, and my body had finally had enough of the silence.
During that same period, life kept testing my strength. I faced the challenges of COVID, a family move, a major home renovation, and my father’s cancer diagnosis. Losing him was one of the hardest moments of my life. Each time I tried to move forward with my business, something pulled me back. I kept telling myself, “Once things calm down, I’ll start.”But one day, I realized the truth: there would never be a “perfect” time.
The right time was now.
That realization became the foundation of my work and the message I now share with women everywhere. Life doesn’t wait for things to be easy, quiet, or convenient. The moment you decide to rise, to choose yourself even when it’s messy, uncertain, or painful, is the moment everything begins to shift. That’s resilience to me. It’s not about never falling apart; it’s about finding your way back, again and again, with a little more strength, a little more grace, and a heart that finally remembers its own worth.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When it comes to building my social media audience, I’ve always believed in two things: authenticity and consistency. I’m very intentional about showing up as myself, not a filtered version, not what’s trending, but what’s true. My audience connects with that realness. I share openly about growth, self-worth, and empowerment because those are the conversations women are craving.
But the real key has been consistency. I post about five times a week on Instagram, and I’m also active on LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok. It’s a lot to manage, and I won’t sugarcoat it; sometimes it’s exhausting. Coming up with fresh ideas, creating content, and staying visible while running a business takes energy, intention, and planning.Still, I know this is the world we live in. Social media isn’t just a platform; it’s a bridge. It’s how I reach the women who need my message most. So, I treat it as part of my mission, not just marketing.
I’m constantly learning, watching tutorials, signing up for classes, and investing time in understanding visibility and audience growth. The learning curve is steep, but the personal growth is even steeper. Every post teaches me something new about how to connect, communicate, and lead.
In today’s world, this is how we build community: by showing up, speaking the truth, and staying consistent, even when it feels like no one’s watching. Growth takes time, but connection takes heart. And that’s what I focus on every single day.
