We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Pearl Johnson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Pearl below.
Alright, Pearl thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of our favorite things to hear about is stories around the nicest thing someone has done for someone else – what’s the nicest thing someone has ever done for you?
While traveling from California to Texas, I landed in Houston with my two-year-old daughter, only to find no further flights to Bryan, Texas. My daughter needed the bathroom urgently, so I asked our cab driver to stop at a gas station. Unfortunately, in the rush, I left my luggage and purse in the cab. When we returned, the cab and the driver were gone, leaving us stranded without money, ID, or a phone in a city we didn’t know.
As darkness approached, overwhelmed and in tears, a kind stranger approached and listened to our plight. He generously took us to the bus station, paid for our tickets to reach our destination, bought us a meal, and even gave us extra money for our journey. His unexpected and selfless kindness is something I’ll never forget.

Pearl , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I began my career as a personal assistant for the well-known comedian AJ Jamal. This opportunity opened doors for me to work with other renowned artists and comedians, including Martin Lawrence and Biz Markie. Leveraging these experiences, I launched my own record label and recording studio, MaddP
Pad Productions, which positioned me to manage and produce a wide array of artists and host special events.
This path led me to work as the personal assistant for the legendary Village People and tour globally with iconic musicians like The Jacksons, Klymaxx, and The Isley Brothers. I have also had the privilege of working with esteemed actors like Danny Glover and other A-list entertainers across various fields. Beyond these roles, I have interviewed celebrities from around the world.
I am passionate about community work, orchestrating fundraisers to promote peace and combat gang violence. Furthermore, we collaborate closely with Choices for Freedom, a nonprofit organization that aids men and women transitioning from prison.
Currently, I am based out of Reno, Nevada, where I run Faces Of Success Radio & TV, a multifaceted media venture. We also operate a recording studio and are in the process of producing a film titled “Wrongly Convicted,” for which I serve as both producer and director. This project is based on a true story, underscoring my commitment to impactful storytelling and media production.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes, assisting women and children and men from escaping violence and drug and alcohol addiction. I also support helping aging and dementia patients.
