Peace, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.

If you don’t already know, I sell sugar wax and sneakers, in both businesses, I ensure my customers get value for their money and they’re well satisfied. I once had a customer who texted me on tiktok (@girlyy.ng) she had beards and wanted to get rid of them but shaving gave her bumps and shaving creams gave her dark spots on her chin which made her looked down on herself. Although she texted my business page where I sell sugar wax, but her messages seemed more like a cry for help. I knew what she needed wasn’t just the sugar wax kit that I sell, she needed a permanent solution and she also needed someone to tell her she was beautiful regardless which I did, I told her what she was experiencing was normal, as a medical student I also made some research and told her things that will help her, I also sent her a video on shaving techniques that won’t give her bumps incase she couldn’t afford the sugar wax. It took a while before I could get back to her with all the information I knew she needed but when I eventually got back to her I could tell from the voice note she sent to me that she was thrilled! She went ahead to place an order for the sugar wax and till now she never misses an opportunity to tell people how I helped boost her confidence both with my products and the things I said to her.

Peace, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Isaac Peace, I’m a medical student, a co_owner of Girlyy.ng, a brand that sells organic sugar wax and I’m the owner of the brand kicks_by_fineapple, a sneaker brand. I’ve always been a business girlie but lockdown period gave me the push I needed to start up something. I started by posting sneakers with intent to sell to my friends and families, since then my businesses and my knowledge of business has evolved greatly. In both businesses I strive to make my products as quality and as affordable as possible so no one is left out. I always ensure I leave my customers satisfied. To me it’s not just a business it’s everything so I give it my all. I’m not just a business owner, I’m a girl who wants to make the world a better place for everyone including the common man that’s why I ensure my products are both of very good quality and are very affordable.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

I’m a shy person so I haven’t gotten much clients from meeting people physically and telling them about my brand, Social media is my number one source of customers, TikTok especially. I don’t think I’ve ever posted my business content on TikTok without getting at least one customer. I once got over 100 orders from a 10 seconds video I posted on TikTok, it got over 200k views. I encourage business owners to put out their content on all social media platforms especially TikTok. Paid ads on WhatsApp and instagram has given me alot of clients too.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I think getting customers to send reviews really helped build my reputation and also using my products on myself helped too.
