Payton, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the decision of whether to donate a percentage of sales to an organization or cause – we’d love to hear the backstory of how you thought through this.
Yes! It all depends on the time of year. During Holidays especially we like to find way to help others. We recently just donated baskets to our church with everything needed to give a family a Thanksgiving meal. This will be our first Christmas but we already have a plan that a percentage of all orders placed in December will be used for buying for angel tree children. We are still new so hope to be able to give more as we grow because it is such a rewarding feeling!
Payton, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Remington Piper is an online apparel, accessories, gifts, and more boutique business! We started with making embroidered cocktail napkins, participating in local markets, and then one day decided to expand. I have worked in retail before and always loved it so I knew one day I wanted to eventually start my own. In August of 2024 I look a leap of faith, went for it, and now here we are! Truthfully the boutique world can be tough. There have been haters, but at the end of the day there are billions of people in the world so you can’t let a small group of people phase you! Cliche, but I am most proud of myself and can not wait watch us continue to grow. I want potential followers and clients to know that they can message me about anything at anytime. I love helping people pick out the perfect outfit for any occasion or just being a friend! Another big thing I love about this industry is everyone is different. I love seeing how ten people can buy the same top, and all style it differently in their own personal way.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Honestly, getting new clients can be hard! We try to do minimum two markets a month all around the DFW area to try and get new clients. We offer first time purchase discount codes which also helps.

Every order thats received I write a hand written thank you note! Being a small business owner is like having a sixth sense. Once you order once we never forget you and when we say your name again there’s an instant smile on our face! Participating in markets is my favorite part because I get to put a face to the name
