We were lucky to catch up with Paula Cherie recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Paula thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I’ve been a professional portrait photographer since 2009, and for years, I lived a double life. My client work was a masterpiece of organization—meticulously tagged and perfectly archived. But my personal photos? They were an absolute wreck.
It hit me one day: without a system, my own story was effectively invisible. If I couldn’t find a photo, did the memory even exist?
I realized that if I suffered from this problem, then it was highly likely that my clients did too. I thought back to a recent client that asked me to print up some photos that she had stored on her phone, and the difficulty she had in locating them. And that’s when ImageEase was born.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
As a portrait photographer for 16 years, I’ve helped many women silence their inner critic and reclaim self
-confidence. In 2025, I expanded my service into photo organizing, helping busy people get an organized photo library without the stress of manually sorting photos.
Without image organization, you are putting the burden on your loved ones to decipher what’s important. And honestly, they’ll probably be too busy living their own lives to sort through yours. It’s up to us to decide how we want our story told.

Have you ever had to pivot?
I’ve pivoted many times personally, in life, when I’ve had to leave an abusive relationship, and again, when I relocated to Dublin, GA.
From a business standpoint, I pivoted by realizing that I can increase my offerings by helping people with a real problem. I can help people tell their stories for their loved ones.

Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
When I first started out doing photography full-time, I waived session fees to remove the risk for clients who were afraid that they might not like their images because I was confident enough in my abilities to create must-have images. I still do it to this day to help fill my calendar.
