We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Paula Campbell. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Paula below.
Paula, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I hope to build a long-lasting legacy that speaks to empowering people in every aspect of their lives. When i’m gone, my prayer is that i’ve positively impacted everyone i’ve encountered in such a way that it changed their minds, shifted their trajectory, or made them smile. I want to be remembered as the person who lived by what she talked about!
Paula, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve been doing empowerment speaking, and coaching for 10 years now. This initially started after I found my purpose/the thing I was created to do. I found I was also the go-to person for advice, and support. I started writing when I was just 6 years old, and sold books at my church’s garage sale. IT was then that i’d declared I would be an Author. I always tell people to be careful with their words, because they become your reality!
I’m most proud of my resilience! No matter what what, i’m committed to the process called ME!
I empower people through bring an Empowerment Speaker, Minister, Author, and Transformational Life Coach. My company, Empowered by PC is the hub for the services I provide.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
My most effective strategy is sharing my truth! Oftentimes, clients are more likely to work with you when they know your story is as real as theirs has been. In addition to this, an effective strategy has been empowering people through social media! Everyday people who find themselves scrolling may also be in need of encouragement/empowerment. It’s an extremely effective tool, and can be a major contribution to uplift those around us.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Throughout my life, there are several things I’ve had to unlearn. Two of most important things I had to unlearn was improper timing, and not properly aligning my priorities with my capacity. While i’ve included 2 things, they go hand0-in-hand. I had to re-learn capacity and timing. Sometimes, we have amazing ideas, and want to do everything simultaneously, but we must consider our capacity!
