Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Paul & Tiffany NuRoyal (formerly Nutall). We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Paul & Tiffany thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
📌 How did you learn to do what you do?
Paul: Surprisingly, although we both came into the production/entertainment industry at different times and ages of our lives, we both had no prior knowledge of filming any show, how to edit, place cameras or angling, lighting, and all things in-between. I just so happened to meet and work with a well-known executive producer in Hollywood who was guiding me on how to film a sizzle video that would have been pitched on her network called KATA Adventures ( https://www.instagram.com/p/
Tiffany: Continuing from all that Paul shared above, throughout our journey of filming these 3 show concepts, it was a great learning experience for me watching Paul and the film crew work the first year we knew each other. Paul and I were friends and business partners at this time so I didn’t want to make him feel like I just came in and took over, so I stepped in when I was needed. The filming of KATA Adventures was completely observational taking in the experience, when it came to TIFFANY’S I noticed that a plan for the filming day was lacking and I needed to visualize what was going to happen so that is how I came to draw up a schedule for each filming day – not even realizing until years later that what I planned on paper was a job of what we know today as a “producer.” As for the second show production, our first pitch concept of our 2nd Chance TV show now called 2ND CHANCE SAVES LIVES ( www.2ndchancesaveslives.org ), I was a part of the editing process, helping the editor add in pieces to the episode that would tell the story more fluidly to where the audience can connect, relate, and be intrigued.
The best thing anyone can do when entering a field that is completely new to them is to OBSERVE and TAKE MENTAL NOTES for future reference (from the outside looking in, how would I make this better, in what ways could I make this better next time, what can we do next time to make this LOOK better next time, how can this be restructured next time so that we can be more efficient? , etc.) By training your mind to think in this way and asking yourself valid questions, really helps you to teach yourself and plan ahead for the next project that comes along, thus stimulating and maximizing the mind, thinking, and much more as well as keeping your mind in a state of “learning mode” soaking everything in like a sponge. What also helped was working with many different videographers and editors throughout the journey, some were more experienced than others where even I learned new things from them, some completely new to filming a talk show which helped me learn how to direct/teach/share my ideas, and others capped their potential when asked for a particular look or design, teaching me to be more wary during the hiring process or request more of their work prior to bringing someone on board.
I strongly believe that when learning any new thing, craft, or industry, IT CAN BE DONE. You really just have to apply yourself, you have to WANT to learn and grow, be curious, be involved, be vigilant and courageous, constantly visualizing, constantly thinking creatively, just keep going in thought and most importantly, pray to God at the start of each day so that He gives you all that you need to get all that I’ve mentioned done. Over the years and at the start of our journey I have consistently and constantly prayed for growth in every area of my life, skills, talents, expansion, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, discernment, etc. and because of this I have seen Him move and increase my learning, knowledge, and everything that I have prayed for slowly but surely. As He says in the Bible, “He will take us from glory to glory.” If you do the same, I believe you will increase in ways unimaginable. And lastly, while believing in God/Jesus, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! Look past fear and rejection from others, friends, and even family and once you do that you will see yourself move forward. When we are distracted by what others think of us, what we are doing, dreams, plans, or visions that we have (or what God has given), you have to realize a number of things: they can’t see the vision because God didn’t give it to them, they gave it to YOU, Rejection is a part of journey to success, you can’t get the strength to move forward from others, the strength you need and the only strength you need is from God alone (“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me“), and you don’t need anyone else’s approval. And remember, those who reject you are the ones who aren’t apart of YOUR journey, there is a better person or bigger door that God wants you to enter, you just have to trust, believe, and have Faith – and most times, the people you think or want to bring with you can’t go with you because they will only pull you down. And with all this in mind, you can achieve anything you set your mind to do, don’t let negative voices around you tell you otherwise.
Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process?
Paul: If I had not wasted time on fearful thoughts, which was a distraction during a long season of our journey – fearing the unknown, what may happen, what may not happen good for us – I could have spent that time learning or focused on something else that can benefit me. But everything happens for a reason, good or bad, is still in some way conspiring to help you, that in itself was a learning experience and was also a process. Although fear is a distraction and may halt learning, it still teaches you how to live above the fear.
Tiffany: Speaking for myself, I don’t believe there is any other way to speed up the learning process from what I have experienced. It really depends on how aggressively a person applies themselves to the goal or goals at hand. For myself, I am an extremely aggressive and laser focused person when it comes to finding ways in every aspect of the company or within myself that I can improve on, and due to the many responsibilities that I handle, I have had no other choice than to apply myself with speed when it comes to researching ways to improve the company, production, scheduling, overall look of the shows. So to answer the question, I think the pace in which God set forth for me is and has been perfect, I wouldn’t change a thing.
What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
Paul: The skill that I have that is essential for our organization is being a speaker for our organization. While my wife usually handles everything else behind the scenes, I am the person who gets on calls, networks with others, discussing problems and resolving issues, etc. This position and skill is something my wife would rather not do, so me having this strong skill has balanced our work life and tasks and is why we believe God put us together to make a perfect team and match.
The obstacle that gets in my way from time to time is procrastination on tasks or calls that I need to make and being distracted mentally by naysayers and people who try to bring our organization down. I feel that I do think about a lot of things and being in my head kills time and distracts me from learning new information or getting things done – something my wife thankfully has no problem with.
Tiffany: I believe that every skill that I have learned up to this point in my life has been very essential to what I do now on a daily basis and has been divinely orchestrated for the purposes of what I do now: drafting agreements, negotiating, training, scheduling, organizing tasks for each project, prioritizing, producing, directing, writing, communicating, and the list goes on. When it comes to production and in our case, also our business, I believe God has placed me in positions in every level of my life to experience, learn skills, gain the knowledge to be able to utilize every skill He has taught me to the extent that it is today and for the tasks God has me doing now.
I would say the obstacles that has stood in my way of learning more and new things is TIME. When you are younger you think that the day couldn’t be or feel any longer than it is, but now I sometimes think that there are not enough hours in the day, but you always have to keep working out your schedule and ways of doing things in a more timely and efficient way to where you make time, and I would say that is always going to be a work in progress for anyone who seeks to improve their productivity and time management. But one day we will reach a point in our organization where we can hire trustable individuals with doing the more minuscule assistant tasks such as scheduling, taking messages on our behalf, sending out documents to be signed by the other party, etc. but I see it coming soon in the very near future. Until that day comes, I am at war with time and will continue making the time to enhance the skills I have now.
Paul & Tiffany, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
📌 What type of work or service do you provide?
Paul & Tiffany: We produce TV shows that help others. The first TV show that we produced and filmed a whole season for is called 2ND CHANCE SAVES LIVES where we bring on individuals and/or families on the show to share their personal stories leading up to sharing what they need help with in their lives. When the show airs on a network, our hosts ask the viewers to help our guest on the show with what they are seeking help for. Below is a brief description of the first 9 episodes we produced for our 1st season:
1. Two-time world champion, professional boxer and Olympic medalist, Chris Byrd, who is seeking help to restart his career after dealing with a life-threatening health concern for almost a decade.
2. Cici Mackey, an entrepreneur who conquers an abusive and criminal past (influenced by her parents) seeks mentorship for her hair salon business’ success in order to give her own daughter a better future and expand to multiple locations.
3. Suzanne Tolbert, who seeks to overcome the memories of her deadly drug addiction and the consequences that it brought to her life with a brand-new smile and finally seeing the Lord’s hand in her life.
4. Stephanie Beck, who seeks help to film her documentary to make sure that a terrible wrong done to her and her son doesn’t happen to anyone else.
5. Jeffrey Mendoza, who seeks to overcome his experiences as an ex-gang member and re-build his life in a way that positively serves the community and sharing his testimony of how God saved his life and opened his eyes to the truth.
6. Britney Grant, who seeks assistance to start an inspirational non-profit for the female youth to keep their purity even after overcoming her own, life-changing medical situation that almost left her paralyzed after receiving a flu vaccine shot.
7. Johenny Volquez, who seeks assistance to conquer the outcome of a troubling childhood and end the cycle of instability for her daughter and family and reach her dream of becoming a child counselor.
8. Anna Nyakana, who is working to overcome a life dictated by her childhood circumstances and status as a refugee by writing books that uplift, inspire, and educate today’s youth in schools all around.

What problems do you solve and what do you think sets you apart from others.
Paul & Tiffany: By highlighting these stories from both of our shows we are giving these individuals a CHANCE at a better life, which is why our organization is called “2ND CHANCE.” In today’s era, it is known that lives can be changed by a blind of an eye by just being featured on the news, social media, network, talk show, etc. We believe that once our shows air on major networks, we will be able to get all individuals and families the help that they are seeking and a new start and chance for a better life or in the case of our FORGOTTEN PRISONERS TV show, freedom. This in itself is what we believe sets us apart from others, our strong desire to help others in desperate need of help. We love to help people, we believe we have been called by God to be light-workers and vessels, to help others, and change lives to the best of our abilities.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Paul: For most people who don’t know my story, I was a regional director of a juvenile facility for 17 years and one day a man from Nigeria reached out to me requesting that I go down to Africa to teach young boys boxing since I was the sparring partner of former 2x Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Chris Byrd’s at that time, and a former 3x Kick-boxing champion years prior. Long story short, the Nigerian man got me caught up in a bank fraud scheme where the check he sent me was fake although it went through with the bank teller who helped me. He called me later and said some of the students cancelled and wanted 75% of the money back and told me to send the funds to different locations in Nigeria where he claimed they all lived in different cities. The secret service indicted me a year later and I decided to fight back by going on the run for 2 years and changing my identity to try and prove my innocence by even calling the White House. This was an abrupt pivot in my life and career, and once they caught me and although the judge dropped 2-40 charges, the “1 charge” still put me in the system and also caused me to lose my career as I was not allowed to use my two Masters degrees any longer. However, had this not happened, I would not be where I am today.
Tiffany: Below is an article of when I pivoted many times in my life and careers that led me to where I am today:
” There is a group of graduating individuals leaving high school who know whole-heartedly what college they want to attend and what career they want to pursue. There are others who are greatly influenced and at times pressured by relatives to pursue an occupation where they later find, was not the route for them, leaving them unhappy and stagnant in their lives by the time they reach their 40’s. A recent 2021 poll found, “Approximately half (52%) of American employees are considering making a career change this year. 44% are already planning to make the switch” – a phrase normally defined as “Career pivot.” But there is another group of individuals who do not know what they want to do after graduation. New statistics released by Allaboutcareers.com, a leading careers exploration website revealed, “44% of undergraduates are unable to define the industry that they would like to work in once they graduate. Over 37,000 undergraduates and 1500 school and college students were asked about their career aspirations and 52% of school students agreed or strongly agreed with the statement, “I have no idea what I want to do with my career.”” This was the case for CEO& Founder of 2nd Chance TV shows & Production company & TV shows: 2nd Chance Saves Lives, Forgotten Prisoners and 2nd Chance Radio, Tiffany L. Nutall.
Growing up in a migrant Filipino family, she was nurtured to believe that the medical field was the best path to follow – financial stability, consistent job opportunities, and prestige. Still wary about the path to the medical field, she instead joined a financial firm after graduating, while working as a sales representative. It was there where she learned about the power of compound interest, investing, and became licensed at the age of 19. Shortly after receiving licensure, she realized the inability to help the less fortunate – “I found myself wanting to help people who were living paycheck to paycheck, but I couldn’t help them unless they were able to put away a small amount of money each month, which they were unable to do. To me, it wasn’t purpose enough for me to stay. Working as a sales rep. and saving every cent of my extra earnings gave me the ability to switch the course.”
Due to the lack of knowledge of other careers growing up, it was easy for Tiffany to finally follow her parent’s desire to pursue Nursing just as her mother, although there was no burning passion. She took courses at a community college but was more motivated in working as a sales representative. Due to the limiting influence around her to think otherwise, her saving grace and turning point was entering a UCLA extension internship program for individuals who wanted a career in the medical field. Tiffany shared, “When I made it into the internship program and began working alongside nurses, although I loved helping and getting to know the patients, I was miserable doing the other tasks. While I saw most nurses loving their job, I saw several other nurses who looked down-right miserable, frustrated, and unhappy. It was then I knew if I was dreading it now, that would be me 20 years down the road.” Immediately Tiffany quit the internship program and at this point continued working full-time as a sales representative for a cell phone company, saving vigorously in preparation for any future opportunities that would arise. After an assistant manager position was given to an associate who she would regularly assist when a manager was not present, it became her sign to move on. Tiffany shared that once she felt her skills and talents were not valued, she had to value herself more to move on to the next opportunity, saying, “It was a blessing to work in the business settings that I did, observing business leaders at the firm, and selling products to individuals who owned their own businesses. The experiences ignited a fuse within me. I thought to myself, “One day that is going to be me, I’m going to own my own business, I’m going to run my own organization, and I won’t be working for someone else.” I realized in the process the fuse was always there, I just needed to turn the knob – and it wasn’t going to happen listening to the people around me who didn’t follow their own passions. Initially I thought, “I will become a nurse, save all the money I could so that I could flip homes and eventually own real estate, which would then generate the income to finance my invention ideas and have my own business.” But God had other plans, He led me through so many pivoting seasons to get me to the position I envisioned for myself years prior, and I am just thankful that I listened to my heart and didn’t let fear stop me in the process.”
Soon after, an opportunity arose in which she thought would be a platform to spark the change she longed to see in her community. Instead, it was a platform that caught the eye of her future husband, Paul Nutall, who was seeking cast members for a reality show he was co-producing. Following the opening door of opportunity, she participated as one of the main talents of the show after the pageant ended, still able to financially support herself during the process. After the reality show fell through due to certain circumstances, Paul then shared with Tiffany how he had been helping fallen celebrities get a “2nd Chance” in their lives. Straight away she felt in her heart a prompting that this was the platform in which she would be able to help others. At age 22, Tiffany met with Paul and shared an idea that would revolutionize the 2nd Chance start-up; that the focus should not only be to give 2nd Chances to fallen celebrities, but to the entire world. This reshaped and evolved 2nd Chance to become 2nd Chance Saves Lives as well as their union as business-partners to holy matrimony. Although she received backlash and disownment from her family entering a biracial and age gap marriage, she moved forward into the door of her God-given destiny, in which she would share all her efforts, talents & passions with the world. By transforming her pain into power, her hard work, dedication, & passion of bettering the lives of others led her to become the CEO, Founder, & Producer of the 2nd Chance Saves Lives TV show & years later, of the 2nd Chance TV show & Production company, and Forgotten Prisoners TV show with her business partner, fellow entrepreneur, & now husband, Paul Nutall. Their like-mindedness, passion, dedication, and love of helping those in-need joined them together on a divine mission to save the world by leading the way, producing their hit TV shows to be aired on major networks coming soon.
Tiffany’s last words of advice to anyone who is contemplating making a career pivot, or in her case, multiple career pivots, is the following, “I don’t believe I would have been able to make the career pivots that I did if I did not take the responsibility of taking care of myself first by saving money for the future. I lived and spent my money frugally from the very beginning and remained consistent, changing my mindset to not crave the latest fashion, and only buying things that I needed, not because I simply wanted it. And although many people would find that to be a difficult transition, it was the main reason I was able to successfully pivot multiple times along the way to lead me to where I am supposed to be. If you save your money diligently, follow your heart, put God first, remain focused, and live responsibly, God will open the right doors for you that no man can shut.” ”
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Paul: All my life I have been a black sheep of the family with my siblings, stemming from jealousy, envy, and hatred of my accomplishments. I always strive to be the best and help them financially so that they can love me. Yet even after I tried, a lie said by my brothers caused a 30-year separation between my parents and the rest of my family until my mother and father’s passing, still not knowing the truth. While they lived in San Antonio, Texas and I at the time was living in Michigan, I tried to reconnect with my mother with no success multiple times by phone. This caused a depressing and long season of my life. For many others it would have broken them down inside, but for me, it made me a better and stronger person. If I can handle the betrayal and abandonment from those closest to me for decades, I could handle anything life throws at me.
Tiffany: Unfortunately, I have had to deal with jealousy, envy, and bullying starting from a young age. It was rough at first to deal with and a struggle to understand why girls (and later, women) didn’t like me for no reason, wanting to pick a fight with me, or even as a young adult female CEO’s of businesses trying to derail my success and discredit my reputation. However, I believe that these experiences were preparing me for what God had in store for me and in the process, He was also showing me that no matter who comes against you on this mission I have for you, no weapons formed against you shall prosper, and because of these trials I faced, my Faith in Him, myself, and life has grown tremendously. It is known today that a large number of young children attempt or commit suicide due to bullying in schools, but thankfully God used these experiences to strengthen my backbone and not allow people to run over me (and now, us) in our organization as they once did. It seemed like every grade level there was always a new enemy coming against me and after we married, us, but as they say, “every new level will have a new devil,” but through it all it has made me a resilient individual and the experiences has formed me in many ways that greatly benefits my life daily – “what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.” Be blessed!
