We were lucky to catch up with Paul Graves recently and have shared our conversation below.

Paul, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

I WAS MANAGING AN ARTIST AND I GOT HIM BOOKED FOR A SHOWCASE…..AND THE HOST DIDN’T SHOW……THE PROMOTER ASKED ME TO HOST OUT OF EVERYBODY……HE ASKED ME…..IT WENT WELL AND I’VE BEEN DOING IT EVERY SINCE

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I’m originally from Mississippi…..now in North Carolina……
I started hosting and promoting parties and events in 2008…..In 2024 I started my radio show…..The Big Homie Radio Show on Oak 93.5 in Raleigh NC…..I think my proudest moment was getting a national recording artist to interview on my show…..

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

In 2008…..I moved my father from Mississippi to North Carolina……his health was failing…..and I had to put alot of things on hold because of it……and during that time…..I had to make some tough decisions……most went good…..but some were just what I needed…..

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

I think my goal is to put a light on all the independent artists that don’t get that light from bigger platforms……
