We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Paul Adeyeye. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Paul below.
Hi Paul, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
When I moved to Canada six years ago, I encountered many new experiences and challenges, but adapting to life here came relatively easily. However, understanding personal finance in Canada was a different story—it felt clumsy and ambiguous. I soon realized I wasn’t alone in this struggle; even some Canadians lacked clarity about their finances. Within the immigrant community, the gap was even more significant.
Determined to bridge this gap, I pursued certifications and exams to become a personal finance coach and educator. As I began teaching others about finances, I noticed a common thread: many were deeply passionate about entrepreneurship but faced a significant hurdle—how to start a business in Canada. Recognizing this need, I expanded my focus to include entrepreneurship education.
My mission is clear: to educate and empower one million people by 2029. Few things bring me more joy than seeing new businesses emerge and thrive as a result of our interactions. It’s a journey of impact and transformation that I am deeply committed to.

Paul, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am an award-winning author, certified insurance and investment professional, and financial educator with a passion for empowering immigrants and families through education on financial and business principles. My expertise spans financial planning, retirement planning, business development, education planning, and entrepreneurship. In 2024, I was honored to be recognized as one of Canada’s Top 20 Outstanding Black Men.
With nearly two decades of professional experience across industries like Pharmaceuticals, Information Technology, Finance, and Retail, I discovered my true passion when I realized the gaps in financial literacy among immigrants. This realization inspired me to focus on equipping immigrants with the knowledge and tools to take control of their financial futures.
Through my social media platforms, online courses, financial literacy workshops, bi-monthly financial health clinics, mentorship programs, and “The Thriving Immigrant” podcast, I strive to inspire and provide actionable insights that help people build prosperous futures.
In 2020, I published my book, The A-Plus Entrepreneur: A Strategic Guide to Help Your Business Thrive at All Times, to help individuals unlock their potential and live their best lives.
My services include business coaching, personal finance coaching (Insurance, Debt Management, Investment Plans), sales coaching, and paid speaking engagements. I am available to speak on topics such as business development, entrepreneurship, personal finance, and digital marketing.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
For me, my mission is simple yet powerful: it’s all about impact and value creation. This clarity has been instrumental in helping me stay true to my principles. I never compromise on my core values—integrity, respect, and value creation. While it hasn’t always been easy, these values have earned me the trust of my clients and continue to bring in new opportunities through referrals from those I’ve already worked with.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Social media has been my greatest strength. By consistently sharing educational content, I’ve been able to create a steady flow of leads. I encourage every business owner to invest in digital marketing—it’s 2025, and if your business isn’t visible to your potential clients online, you’re leaving money on the table.
