Patty , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

We came up with Aries Moon Shoppe to encompass what I currently offer and what is yet to be created. I like the spelling of Shoppe as it gives that feeling of being worldly and of the test of time. Just like tarot and astrology. Both practices are very old and have stood and will continue to stand the test of time. Aries Moon – when the new moon is in Aries at the beginning of spring, it brings a sense of hope for a new beginning, the blush of Spring with its new growth. Aries is the astrology sign of courage, take charge and fun! When you sit down for a reading with me, I want you to leave with the renewed hope, courage or brave new direction. I happen to have an Aries Moon so it is the perfect fit! People love the name, it is amazing how many people are drawn to it!

Patty , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am the owner of Aries Moon Shoppe where I offer tarot and astrology readings. As a professional metaphysical practitioner of tarot and astrology, my work revolves around seeing the beauty in life and the beauty in people. My work is about sitting with where you are in life, through celebration or sadness, we sit with the truth of where we are right now, at this very moment. I love what I do. I truly enjoy and treasure the connection created when sitting with someone for the first time or their 20th time. I am very proud that I have given hundreds of readings. It is truly rewarding when I see eyes light up during a reading or when the box of tissues slides across the table. This means answers are found, calmness is found, a sense of purpose if found. I am excited to see more and more people are open to getting a reading. I love watching a calmness settle over who I am reading for as they take away a gift that is only theirs. I take my gifts very seriously because when you sit with me in all your vulnerability, you will be taken care of.

I am proud that I have studied Tarot and Astrology for years and am continuing to study as there is always more to uncover. With this solid foundation of knowledge, it allows my innate intuitive gifts to step forward and take a reading deeper. I am very proud that my readings offer the chance to see and understand how beautiful and unique each person is. What pure joy!

I was raised untraditionally on sunshine and astrology in a small Colorado town. I have always found the metaphysical mysteries far more interesting than anything. From this precious starting point, I found my calling to work with people on the mundane and spiritual planes. Tarot is the perfect tool for this work! It took time, patience, incredible books, amazing teachers to gain understanding of the meanings of the cards as a foundation and layered in with my intuitive gifts, I knew I wanted to share this with everyone! I am grateful to read at local venues, spiritual fairs, and through the Zoom world. I am so grateful to everyone I have met along the way. A few years ago, I knew it was time to get down to really studying Astrology. I have learned so much about myself. I have learned to be gentle or laugh a little when I see a planet placement or an upcoming event. It is my wish for others to feel this kind of liberation too. I feel it is important to know what you are talking about when you are working people as their lives are happening. I want to share just how one-of-a-kind-special a person is on the day they were born – and yet, still connected to the whole universe. Everyone should see and hear their story to understand how beautiful and unique they are.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is being free to be who I am. The simple act of laying out the cards for someone, to see their story unfold and holding space for them in that very moment is incredible. When an astrology chart is cast and I can see who they are and where they are going. Just for the bit of time where we share space and energy together cannot be measured – just treasured. My creative work leads me into new directions all the time. There is freedom with this work – there will forever be something to learn, something to teach, love to share. It will never get old or stale. I live a life doing what it is I love to do. It is that simple.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.

I don’t believe there is such a thing as a non-creative. I believe we can get stuck in life doing the same thing day in and day out – life stuff. Some might say I took a risk to step out into the world as a metaphysical practitioner where it may or may not have been received well. It was worth it. The time, the money, the self talk, to be doing what I absolutely love to do was all worth it. I believe we all have a creative gift. My love of what I do started in my teens – I would ask anyone to remember back to when we were younger and ask that person, do you remember who you wanted to be or what did you fill your time with then? And then I would ask what would that look like now? Where can we start to bring that joy of then out to the joy in right now? I feel that if we can move past that feeling of not being good at something on the first try, that limiting thinking and ease into let’s keep going and see where this will take me, the creative flow turns on. Step away from those limiting thoughts and embrace that creative wonder that is still there! Trust me, when I say this, life is a practice. We keep practicing – no matter how long we have been doing something. We forget that we were once a beginner with every thing.
