PATTY, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
After working in the nutrition business for a few years for others, I noticed some patterns being repeated over and over again. Many People were not able to make sustainable changes in their lives and were putting so much energy into how much they weigh instead of their overall health and wellness. I wanted to have a more WHOLE-istic, WHOLE person approach. I worked very hard for 6 months with a mindset expert and business coach to explore the possibility of capturing and then teaching others the things I had learned along the way. I knew very little about business but was confident in my coaching abilities. What I learned through mindset coaching helped me grow and change my own beliefs about my abilities. 55 at the time, I had wondered if my time had past. But that was me – placing limits on myself- THE VERY THING I teach others not to do. All the details of business I fretted were not so scary with an open mind. I became more and more comfortable in asking for help from other females within the nutrition space, tech and other business owners. Each gave me a push and nudge of positivity,. In October 2022 I set out on my own. I never feared failure. I went in knowing the right people would find me. It has been a JOY to watch the transformations of men and women who are 40+ find health and change what they believe about their own potential as humans. by dissecting the thoughts we have had about ourselves and what we *should* be dong. I am proud of what I am continuing to build and wake up excited every day!

PATTY, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I dieted almost my whole life. I have been too big and too small – and never enough. Before I turned 50 I wanted to see if I could “look” like the athlete I felt inside. With coaching I was able to lose 50 lbs and felt amazing!! Along the way, I found that I was not prepared for a lot of the feelings I was having in my “new body.” I had not dealt with a lot of the thoughts and beliefs I had about myself that lead to being overweight to begin with and therefore in my mind I was still overweight. I took the time to work on the deep stuff – the stuff that diets don’t teach you. People think being smaller provides some magical solution – but it never does if we don’t face all of of the things that got us there. I work with my clients to untangle some of their thoughts, to help them to improve their body image, to help them to be healthy and well regardless of shape or size, and to develop a better relationship with food

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Social media is an odd space for a 56 year old woman, but I have fun with it. I enjoy silly reels and I use them to get messages out to those that follow. I am NOT tech savvy so there has been a lot of trial and error following trends and learning what interests people and what doesnt., Most of all I have FUN doing them. I feel that is conveyed in every reel I create.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I like to think I am relatable to most people 40+. I have children ranging from 11 to 27. I am a military spouse. I have retired and recreated myself. I have been a single parent. I have been a student working full tine with kids. I have been on just about every diet known to man. I can empathize with folks int he most genuine way having walked at least a few steps in similar shoes to the ones they are walking in now. My reputation comes from continuing to move forward and being honest about my own struggles. People want to know you have been there too.
