Hi Patti , thanks for joining us today. Do you manage your own social media?

When it comes to our social media, I find that I know my business better than any agency. Social media gives my business a platform to share not only our products but also our values. It requires daily attention in responding to followers and fans. Coming across a past bride’s wedding photos and interacting in their posts is one of the best parts of my job. It provides us with content as well as a sense of pride in seeing the final product of our work.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I was born and raised in Chile. My parents traveled to the US with three small children and a few thousand dollars in their pocket. If this doesn’t scream “in search of the American dream” I don’t know what does! After High School I completed course work in Nursing but found that my strong suit was in the business side of the medical field. I worked for a group of physicians for many years before launching a side gig in Mary Kay products. Here is where I met my Mary Kay sister and now business partner, Alicyn. We were both looking for a way out of Corporate America and decided to combine our love for all things bridal with our retail experience in the beauty and bridal industries to help brides-to-be find the wedding dress of their dreams.

Wonderland Bridal has been catering to South Florida brides in Margate/Coral Springs and surrounding areas for almost 8 years now. We offer beautiful, high-quality wedding gowns at an affordable price along with the perfect bridal accessories to complete the bride’s vision. Our plus size wedding dress selection is top notch and we pride ourselves in being able to offer this for curvy brides. Additionally, we have a beautiful selection of flower girl dresses and communion dresses for little ones.

Time and time again, we hear about brides’ negative experiences in other local bridal shops and are delighted to know that we are always able to turn that around for them. What sets Wonderland Bridal apart from others is exactly this. The time a bride spends with us from their first appointment to the time they pick up their dresses is always positive. We receive praise from not only our brides but also their friends and family members who accompany them. It is our goal to provide our brides with a dress shopping experience they will always remember.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

The most effective strategy for growing our clientele is simply to be honest. We are very transparent here and never pushy. If a bride feels the need to keep shopping or sleep on it before making a decision, we encourage it. No one wants to feel pressured to make a costly purchase, especially one that involves the most special day in your life. This decision will stay with you in photos for years to come and it’s not something we ever want them to regret. More often than not, brides will return to us and be so thankful for our patience.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

The best source for new clients has by far been word of mouth. We see past brides return with their sisters, best friends, even their moms when it’s their turn to shop for a wedding gown. It is an absolute pleasure to see them return to us, entrusting us to deliver the same wonderful experience to their loved ones.
