We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Patris Kirakosian a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Patris, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

Our mission is to serve more than just coffee – we serve authenticity in every cup. Fueled by a deep love for bold flavors and quality coffee, we blend passion with purpose. We’re here to create an inclusive coffee culture, bringing people together all across Los Angeles, one delicious brew at a time. No matter where you are, we’re ready to roll in and serve up something exceptional. This is meaningful for our team because it’s about creating an elevated experience while sharing in the moments that matter, celebrating milestones and creating lasting memories.

Our team is a unique blend of culinary expertise and education displaying leadership skills and sharing a passion for great coffee, flavor, and exemplary quality.

Being a former barista and finding interest in serving the community and families, Ellen Sarkisyan has developed skills, knowledge, and experience in all and every ever-changing environments to fit traditional and modern perspectives of the world. Exchanging and welcoming ideas, and remaining coachable, Ellen has built additional passion and interest in serving a multitude range of cultures and backgrounds to uplift and serve as necessary and then more. Having personal talents in the world of performing arts, writing, and communication skills, knowing her audience and their needs is a foundation in crafting an elevated experience and cherishable moments.

With a deep-rooted passion for the food industry and years of business experience, our chef, Patris Kirakosian has worn many hats-running food trucks, working in high-end restaurants, and owing his own establishments. His understanding of the culinary world goes beyond the kitchen; it’s about creativity and the experience behind every bit. His love for coffee grew from the same artistic vision that drives his cooking skills- seeing parallels between crafting a beautifully plated dish and designing the perfect cup. He is inspired by the pastry chef’s he has worked with and has developed a fascination with the balance of flavors, texture, and presentation, which now fuels his approach to coffee.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

Being childhood friends with similar interests, we have decided to put our interests and passion together to better serve the community to create a positive impact.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?

While there are many valuable insights to share, the two which stand out are: Communication and support. Communication is important when building, growing and sustaining a high functioning team. Support is essential when you are the foundation of a growing business that constantly involves changes and challenges.
