Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Patrick Ross. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Patrick thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Any thoughts around creating more inclusive workplaces?
As a person in the music industry, I do think that it is important that we all make it imperative. To include any and everybody in the workspaces to make something timeless, that will stand the test of time and outlast us. There is a bunch of stories but one that sticks out is when my mentor who taught me the technical side of music. He brought me to the studio and we collaborated with the engineers and I wrote new song for the artist that we were recording. It helped shaped my view in not being selfish with information and that it takes a team to make a hit record. Consistency and Collaboration is the key to efficient success. Moments when the workplace wasn’t so Inclusive was when no one in your field of expertise has jobs open or when people feel like they are not capable of learning something new. It was impactful because when business is down it make you realize how much skill sharpening is crucial and how people do not have the same mindset as you.. Learning is very important.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I got into the industry at a early time. I started singing at age of 4. I began writing poetry and songs at 8-9 years of age. I began rapping at age 11. I became an engineer learning under my mentor Alexander Evans at 15. I began later went to the Art Institute of Mission Valley – San Diego, where I furthered my technical education after high school. Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The particular goal is to always be one of the best in the business. Always thinking of Ideas, Always loving to create and having the passion to help people in need from understanding the business. Loving to teach, grow and spread the knowledge. That was given to me in my years of experience.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Sometimes I wish the easy access we have now, I wish we had back then. But I applaud the fact that getting the tangible resources physically in hand, was more valuable, then Mobily being disposed of with a short attention span. Though Phones and apps are a great tool. The foundation never gets old it’s still needed.
