We were lucky to catch up with Patrick Pinkard recently and have shared our conversation below.
Patrick, appreciate you joining us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
I worked in Corporate America, punching a time clock for over 20 plus years. I had moved up within the company to a managerial position, but realized it was just a job and not my passion. I had always thought one day, I want to be my own boss. I have always enjoyed working out and being physically fit. I decided to attend a Personal Training program and soon learned this was not only my passion but an opportunity to start my own business. A leap of faith came when I left my corporate job, the city I lived in and moved to the DFW area to pursue my dream. If I could give any person the wisdom, I have learned it is this, Believe in yourself and your dreams. don’t doubt yourself and never give up on reaching those goals and dreams.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hello, my name is Patrick Pinkard, and I am the owner of Concierge Fitness, TX. We are a personal training business that provides services to clients at a location of their convenience. Whether it’s at a park, our gym, their home or online we aim to limit the excuses for our clients. We offer strength training, HIIT training, core and cardio training. We also offer nutritional tips for the clients. I take pride in being punctual and being available to meet the clients’ schedules. My goal is to help people that want help achieving their fitness goals and show them anything is possible if you believe and put in the work that it takes because it doesn’t happen overnight. I live what I teach others.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe consistency with my training; word of mouth has been very helpful within my client base along with trust from my clients. and the length of time I have been training.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
I feel being reliable, trustworthy and open minded to my clients, stern when I need to be and being honest with them about their goals and showing them, this is a lifestyle change not just a change for an occasion or event. I take pride in providing the best individualized work out for each person based on their goals and ability. I can train those with physical constraints or those with limited athletic ability.
