We recently connected with Patrick Greenwood and have shared our conversation below.
Patrick, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Earning a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?
Yes. I write full-time as a freelance cybersecurity blogger and ghostwriter. I continue to write my fictional novels when I am not writing for others. For the last 4 years, I have made a nice living as a professional writer.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I retired from technology engineering and sales in 2022 and focused on writing. Honestly, I was fired five times early in my career because of grammatical errors, lack of SEO knowledge, and poor word choice. Once I realized what clients wanted and how the whole Google SEO worked, I started landing long-term clients and incredible new projects.
Even dyslexic people can become successful writers!

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes. I love writing romantic novels. When people realize that men can write romance with sex in a tasteful way, I am over the moon! :)
I am currently writing book 3 in my Jack Kendall Series. As a writer, even when we hit a wall, we always build a bigger ladder.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Most of my writing stems from my global and domestic travels. I always encourage people to celebrate life’s journey and never consider this a burden. Every sunrise, sunset, rainstorm, and espresso drinking in Portugal, there is always a story somewhere.
Capture the moment :)
