Hi Patrick, thanks for joining us today. Can you share an important lesson you learned in a prior job that’s helped you in your career afterwards?

Before transitioning into the live entertainment industry, I spent time in the hotel and hospitality industry.
One of the most valuable lessons I took away from that period of my professional life is how to truly listen to customers and anticipate their needs. In hospitality, it’s not just about providing a service; it’s about creating an unforgettable experience. Attention to detail and a customer-first mindset can turn an ordinary service into something unforgettable.

This lesson has been invaluable in my current work as an entrepreneur in live entertainment. In this industry, the focus remains creating unforgettable experiences, whether it’s for a live concert, an award ceremony, or a sport event. Just like in hospitality, it’s all about listening closely to what people want – even if they can’t fully articulate it – and then going above and beyond to bring that vision to life. Being customer-centric has allowed me to build stronger relationships with clients and deliver experiences that resonate on a deeper level.

Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?

Smart contracts technology could open up to lots of exciting opportunities—like music royalties, authentication of original artwork, and exclusive access to special events. However, I don’t think we’re quite there yet. Too often, NFTs have been exploited as quick money-making schemes rather than tools to genuinely empower creators and users.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?

Be thoughtful about where you invest your hard-earned money. Take the time to learn the background stories of the creators. Support original work—ultimately, your purchase helps fund an artist’s career and growth.
