Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Patrick Cuaresma. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Patrick thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
The moment I truly knew I wanted to pursue music came when I had the idea to create a special song for my girlfriend’s birthday. I wanted to do something meaningful and personal—something that would express how I felt in a way that words alone couldn’t capture. I reached out to my best friend, Stract, someone I’ve known for over a decade and had always shared a musical bond with. As soon as I told him the concept, he immediately caught the vision and was just as excited as I was to bring it to life.
Together, we poured our energy and creativity into the process and eventually produced the track that would become ‘Sum Bout U.’ It wasn’t just a song—it was a reflection of a real moment and real emotions. When I finally played it for my girlfriend, her reaction was everything I had hoped for. Seeing how deeply it resonated with her and how much she appreciated the effort made me realize that music has the power to genuinely connect with people on an emotional level.
That experience was a turning point for me. It made me understand that music wasn’t just a casual interest—it was something I was passionate about, something I could envision dedicating myself to. It sparked a deeper drive in me to keep creating, learning, and evolving as an artist. From that day forward, I knew I wanted to create more music and see just how far I could take it.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Crzma, and I’m an independent recording artist, songwriter, and member of Prosperous Music Group. I grew up in a creative environment surrounded by different cultures, generations, and musical influences—from old school rap and hip hop to R&B and pop. From a young age, I felt a natural connection to music, whether it was writing lyrics on my phone in high school or freestyling during lunch breaks with my longtime best friend and collaborator, Stract.
Although music was always part of my life, the moment I realized I wanted to create more music was when I created a song for my girlfriend’s birthday. That track, ‘Sum Bout U’, wasn’t just a gift—it was the spark that ignited a much bigger vision. Seeing the emotional impact that song had made me realize the power music has to connect people, tell stories, and bring ideas to life.
Since then, I’ve continued to evolve as an artist, releasing music that reflects my experiences and creative growth. One of my most exciting projects to date is ‘Take U Down’, a track that features myself, Stract, and Russell Groovy. It’s a collaboration that brings together different styles and voices under one cohesive sound, and it represents the type of unity and creativity we value at Prosperous Music Group. The track is available on all streaming platforms and has been a great way to showcase the chemistry and talent within our circle.
As an artist, I focus on making music that’s not only catchy but also authentic—music that captures real emotions, real experiences, and real energy. I’m part of Prosperous Music Group, a collective and brand that supports independent artists with tools to grow, from engineering and production to distribution and promotion. Through PMG, we’re building something bigger than just a label—we’re building a movement.
What sets me apart is the intention behind my work. I’m not in this just to make noise—I’m here to create something meaningful that lasts. My music is personal, but it’s also universal. I’m proud of how far we’ve come with limited resources and how much we’ve been able to grow purely off vision, passion, and consistency.
If you’re just discovering me or the PMG movement, know this: we’re real people making real art. I want fans and followers to know that everything we create is rooted in truth, emotion, and a genuine love for the craft. Whether it’s a song, a show, or a studio session, I’m always aiming to bring good energy and build something that inspires others to chase what they love too.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, one of the most rewarding aspects of being an artist is the ability to create music that feels timeless—music that resonates with people regardless of where they’re from or what they’re going through. There’s something powerful about knowing that a song I created in a small room can reach someone halfway across the world and make them feel seen, understood, or uplifted.
I love making music that brings energy—fun, exciting sounds that people can sing along to, dance to, and celebrate with. Whether it’s being played at a party, a club, or during a road trip with friends, knowing that my music becomes part of people’s moments and memories is a feeling that’s hard to describe. That’s the kind of impact I strive for.
But beyond just the hype and good vibes, I also aim to make music that connects on a deeper level. Not everyone knows how to express what they’re going through, and sometimes a song can say what words alone can’t. If someone listens to my music and feels like it speaks for them—whether it brings comfort, confidence, or even just a sense of escape—that’s the real win.
Another powerful part of being an artist is the ability to bring people together. Music is a universal language, and I believe it has the power to heal, inspire, and unite. Whether it’s a track that helps someone through a tough time or a song that gets everyone lit at a celebration, I see it as a blessing to be able to influence emotions and energy through sound. That’s what keeps me motivated—to keep creating, keep connecting, and keep pushing the culture forward.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
I think one of the biggest struggles that non-creatives may not fully understand about the journey of a creative—especially in music—is the perfectionism that comes with the process. When you’re creating art, you’re not just making something to be heard; you’re putting a piece of yourself into it. As an artist, you become your own biggest critic.
Even when others tell you a track sounds great or it’s ready to go, there’s this inner voice constantly pushing you to tweak, refine, or rework parts of it. You might sit with a song for weeks—even months—replaying it over and over, asking yourself: Can the flow be tighter? Should the hook hit harder? Is the message clear enough? That pursuit of constantly elevating the sound can be exhausting, but it’s also what fuels growth and originality.
What’s even more challenging is that this perfectionism doesn’t stop when the song drops. A lot of creatives will still replay their own music after it’s released and wonder, What more could I have done? Should I have changed the mix? Could I have delivered that verse with more emotion? It’s a cycle of reflection that most people outside the creative space might see as overthinking, but to us, it’s part of the craft. We’re constantly chasing that next level.
I think what’s important to understand is that creativity is deeply personal. It’s not just about making something “good”—it’s about making something that feels right. And often, what feels “right” to a creative is always evolving. So if you know someone who’s on a creative journey, just know that what they’re working on isn’t just a product—it’s a reflection of their vision, their growth, and their desire to connect with something deeper.
