We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Patricia Rodriguez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Patricia below.
Patricia, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
“The idea for my business, Home Temple Designs, really began as a very personal journey.
Twenty Years ago, I studied interior design, but life took me in other directions. I faced challenging times—health issues, single motherhood—and my home became my safe space, my sanctuary. I realized firsthand how deeply our surroundings affect our mood, energy, and even our healing.
When I returned to the design world, I knew I didn’t just want to make homes beautiful—I wanted them to feel like temples where people could recharge, find balance, and feel truly at peace. That’s why I combined holistic interior design with professional organizing. I had met clients who didn’t just need new furniture or colors—they needed clarity, flow, and harmony in their space and life.
The logic was simple but powerful:
If our environment is cluttered, chaotic, or disconnected from who we are, it drains us. But when a space is aligned with our needs, values, and lifestyle, it supports us emotionally, mentally, and even physically.
What excites me most is that I’m not just giving someone a beautiful space—I’m giving them a better way of living in it. My clients often say they feel lighter, calmer, and more energized after our work together. That’s when I knew this was more than a business—it was a calling. And in today’s fast-paced, stressful world, I believe creating spaces that nurture well-being isn’t just worthwhile—it’s essential.”

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Patricia Rodriguez, the founder of Home Temple Designs, where I specialize in holistic interior design and professional organizing.
My journey began over 20 years ago when I studied interior design, but life took me in a different direction. As a single mother facing health challenges, I learned how deeply our environment can affect our mood, energy, and even our healing. I realized a home isn’t just a place you live—it can be your greatest source of peace and strength.
When I returned to design, I knew I wanted to go beyond creating beautiful rooms. I saw that many people were living in spaces that didn’t truly serve them—cluttered, stressful, or disconnected from their needs. That’s why I combined design and organization with a holistic approach. I help clients transform their homes into sanctuaries where they can recharge, feel balanced, and live more intentionally.
But my purpose goes deeper. As a single mother who rebuilt her career from a place of challenge, I’m passionate about empowering other women—especially single mothers—to believe in themselves and turn their passions into something extraordinary. I’m living proof that you can rebuild, reinvent, and create a life you love. It’s never too late to follow your calling, and I want my journey to inspire others to create a life and career they love.
My services include:
Holistic interior design that blends style, function, and energy flow
Professional organizing that clears both physical and mental clutter
Space planning for harmony, wellness, and productivity
Styling and decor sourcing to bring a vision to life
What sets me apart is that I don’t just make a space look good—I align it with who my clients are and how they want to feel in their daily life. It’s about creating harmony, not just decoration.
I’m most proud of the feedback I get when clients say, “My home feels lighter, and so do I.” That’s when I know I’ve done my job.
The main thing I want people to know about my brand is that it’s built on empathy, creativity, and the belief that your home should be your greatest source of peace and inspiration. I’m here to help people create spaces that truly support their well-being and to inspire women to believe that their dreams are worth building.”
At the heart of my work is one belief: when you transform your space, you transform your life.”
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
“One of the moments that tested my resilience the most was when I had to completely rebuild my life after going through serious health issues and a divorce at the same time.
It was a period where everything felt uncertain—my health, my family, my future. I had stepped away from my entrepreneurial world, and in that moment, it would have been easy to give up on that dream entirely. But I kept feeling this pull to create—to turn spaces into places of peace and strength, not just for others, but for myself.
I remember sitting in my small apartment, surrounded by boxes after the move, and thinking: If I can create order, beauty, and calm here, in the middle of my own chaos, I can help others do the same. That became my mission. I started small—organizing my own space, helping friends, taking on my first holistic design project again—and step by step, I rebuilt not only my career, but my sense of purpose.
That season of my life taught me that resilience isn’t about avoiding hardship—it’s about creating something beautiful in spite of it. And now, I bring that same belief to my clients: that transformation is always possible, no matter how overwhelming life may feel.”

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the belief that I had to have everything perfectly figured out before I could start.
For years, I told myself I’d return to interior design ‘one day’—when I had more time, more money, better circumstances. But after going through life challenges , I realized that waiting for the perfect moment was really just fear in disguise.
I had to unlearn the idea that starting small wasn’t good enough. The truth is, small steps are what build big dreams. I began by organizing my own space, then helping friends, then taking on my first holistic design projects again.
That shift in mindset changed everything—not just in business, but in life. Now I remind my clients, especially women and single mothers, that you don’t have to have it all together to take the first step. You just have to start where you are with what you have.”
