We were lucky to catch up with Patricia Robinson recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Patricia , thanks for joining us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?

I’ve always had a knack for planning events birthdays, baby showers, family get togethers you name it, I was probably the one behind the scenes making sure every detail felt special. But for a while, my path looked a little different. I started out in real estate, then transitioned into property management. It was steady, but deep down, I knew something was missing.

After a while, I found myself in a space that felt… stagnant. I was craving something more creative, something that lit me up inside. I needed to rediscover what made me happy something that allowed me to outwardly express who I am. That was the turning point.

I didn’t know a thing about bounce houses at the time ( literally not one single thing.) But the vision for Just Peachy Events kept pulling at me. So I rolled up my sleeves and started from scratch.

I googled everything under the sun. I compared prices, researched materials, read reviews, and joined local business groups and forums. I asked questions (so many questions). I connected with people in the industry who were willing to share knowledge. I basically became a student of bounce houses and event styling overnight.

Little by little, the pieces started to come together. I sourced my first inflatable, designed my brand, and got my business licenses in order. I built my website, launched my Instagram, and hit the ground running.

Looking back, that leap was the best thing I could’ve done. Just Peachy Events has given me the space to create, to connect with families, and to bring joy into people’s most special moments. And the best part? This is just the beginning.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

When I first started Just Peachy Events, I ordered a set of kids’ tables for an upcoming event — and they arrived damaged just days before. I didn’t have a backup plan or vendor connections yet, so I jumped online and spent hours searching for a solution. After tons of calls and digging, I finally found a replacement in time. It was a mess behind the scenes, but it showed me early on that I’d do whatever it takes to deliver for my clients.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

A big lesson I had to unlearn was that everything had to be perfect before I launched. I spent so much time stressing over the perfect logo, the perfect inventory, the perfect setup — when in reality, I just needed to start. The backstory? I delayed launching Just Peachy Events for months because I didn’t feel “ready.” But once I finally took the leap, I realized that growth happens while you’re doing, not before. Progress over perfection.
