Being an Artist developer can be challenging. Your going to bump heads with the artist or vibe with the artist. Believing in someone else’s dream and helping them reach for the stars feels so great. Investing your time, energy and money is when the challenges start! Dealing with artist you build a bond if your genuine about there development. Music artist go through so many emotions and sometimes they can check out. Needing a reboost and time for themselves and family plus keeping up with the new waves of music & social media plus there own personal problems could be a challenge. Learning someone’s background good or bad and seeing them flourish is the goal.
Patricia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hi I’m Patricia the Empress I start having an interest in hiphop at the young age of 9 my first CD my mom Purchased for me was an ludacris album ( Back for the first time) then I wanted a snoop dogg album and then I fell in love with lil Bow wow. I use to call into BET for them to play the destiny child no scrub song so much that I think they banned my house phone for calling. I enjoyed watching 106 & park with free & AJ. Growing up in south central hiphop clowns is a big thing I started dancing for my mom ( LA-LA) she had a clown group and I would dj her music for her parties I fell in love with hiphop after that . I was encouraged into the music industry by my Big brother Santiago he taught me different genres of music I didn’t know much about at a young age & BIG U a well known music manager, executive producer & youth football founder of developing options. Gave him a call about my thoughts of the music industry and an artist I was looking into helping “ComptonTG” big u was always one call away & always gave positive feed back & introduced me to bigger opportunities. So I reached out to the artist ComptonTG manager Antpongo & showed my work ethic & we hit it off as a team every since. I’m proud of myself for staying strong in an industry full of wolves & snakes! just like the artist we go through so many emotions. The goal is to get that artist where he or she wants to be. Stay humble and keep God first I’m everything you do!
Any advice for managing a team?
Move with love, be respectful, control your emotions, stay positive, never hold back how you feel. Move as one! Stick together and most of all stay loyal.
