We were lucky to catch up with Patricia Adams recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Patricia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What were some of the most unexpected problems you’ve faced in your business and how did you resolve those issues?
One unexpected problem that I definitely had in the last industry. I’m deathly gonna say retention when I first started off I didn’t know anything about bonder sealant about how the humidity should be at your last room. This is definitely the best the biggest problem for me, but I was able to overcome this problem by speaking to my mentor and researching the best products that works for me the product that work for me it’s not gonna work for every other last time the volume trays that I use is not gonna work for a few other last check the tweezers that I use are not gonna work for every last text so it’s different for each lash tech and you’re just gonna wanna fine with comfortable for you and also edit. It varies on your clients as well like the lash glue that you use on a certain client might not work well on a different client, so you really have to play around with product to see what are the best products for your clients in the best products for you.

Patricia , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Patricia , I’m the owner of Lash Me Out Extensions which is a luxury service. I service women all over Houston with lash extensions. A a little bit about my business I first took my first lash extension course in 2019 and ever since then I have just been in love my business is also my baby and I’ll try my best to make sure that all of my clients leave fully satisfied and happy with your service last extensions are definitely a luxury service for women and I definitely believe that every woman should be able to get their lashes done now a little backstory on my business, and I came up with the name shortly after taking the class, and I just felt like I wanted my name to be unique, and I definitely wanted to stand out from others and I really just wanted to stand out to my clients. For lash extensions, I offer a variety of lash styles that the women are able to pick from. I also do lash baths and coming up. I will start having products for sale and that’ll just be like luxury lash supplies that other lactic technicians will be able to use from lash trays to glue to bonder to sealants to tweezers Definitely be on the lookout for that
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
Yes, so last this was definitely definitely my side hustle. I was pretty much into make up hair nails all of that and lashes which is really the thing that did it for me when I first took the class lash extensions were they weren’t really popular but they were just like trending in the makeup industry. I started doing lashing I was doing all of my sisters and if you know me, you know I have a lot of sisters so doing lashes was pretty much what you know it is. I love that I love doing it And it’s something that I definitely love to share with everybody. I was doing it on family and friends and I started having a lot of people reaching out to me as I was posting my work and they loved it so I’m like you know what why not turn this into a business and at the time I was a senior in high school so I definitely just wanted to do something that I can make money off of and this is something that I can definitely see it’s like passing down to my daughter, so I just want you know create a legacy, but it was definitely just like a side hustle when I first started and I didn’t even think that I would blow up or get this big, but it was just definitely something that I love doing and I’m just happy that I was able to turn it into a business

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Yes, so for my loyalty clients I always do a two week check in just to check on their lashes. Check on the retention to make sure there’s not having any problems so that we can schedule appointment for my loyalty clients only they do get free faucet on their birthday and then they get there a little mini feel you know two or three weeks however much they needed for their lashes but I definitely keep in touch. I have them send me selfies all the time so that I can post their Sophies so I just pretty much keep in touch with them. They’re basically like my second family and I love them so much because I wouldn’t be where I am today without them but that’s definitely how I keep in touch with my loyalty clients and I always offer incentives for them as well.
