Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Patrice Hudson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Patrice, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
Growing up, I had a hard life because I was in and out of foster care. Life started to get easier when I met my brother. We were so happy to have each other as siblings because he was in foster care before I was born and we did not know each other until my fifth foster home. After we met my social worker made sure that we stay together in the home. Growing up with a big brother was exciting. We shared a bedroom together, we played together and also he taught me how to draw. He was the artist. Anything he saw he drew, and I was so amazed at that. As I got older I started drawing too. I felt like that was in our jeans. Being in foster care, we always thought of how our biological family would be like. One thing we knew for sure was that we had to have each others back. Brother and Sister love. In 2004 we both was adopted. After leaving foster care and going right into a new family was so exciting. That’s when our dreams started to happen. But we both was getting hit on. I knew something was wrong with this family but I was young and couldn’t do anything. As we got older the hitting gotten worse. We both really didn’t know how to reach out to people to tell what was going on so my brother started lashing out to other kids that he made contact with and was hitting them. Our adoptive family put him with therapist. But it didn’t work out. I lost my brother in a car accident In 2018. He was my only brother that I knew, and that would stick up for me. We was adopted together and I thought that maybe we will always stay together. My brother meant the world to me and losing him was like losing a part of my heart. I am truly grateful and blessed to have him in my life, and for him to leave behind my niece and nephew. God had placed me in a situation that I had people supporting me after I reached out to them because honestly I didn’t come to the realization that I was being abused, until it clicked in my mind and dealing with what my adoptive parent was doing to me it wasn’t right, and nobody should be treated in this manner. So yes, I’m not ashamed to talk about my story and yes I was adopted and being abused. I have achieved a lot so far I graduated high school, my drivers license, at Phoenix University with my associate’s degree in technology information. I’ve always been creative and I started building websites and designing sites. I am a instagram model. My next step is to own a business with photography. I love taking pictures not only me, but for others as well. I feel like this is a gift that I can give to the world. Being what you want to become, being strong and achieving your goals.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I love being creative. I always had a passion for it. I can take a regular picture and make it into something that stands out more. I edited pictures, clean them up and make them look presentable. I also help people to get their followers up on social media. And build websites.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
How I built my social media was to first think on how you are going to present yourself. Second give your audience you. Don’t try to be nobody else be yourself. Go for what your heart desire. Make sure you have a plan. And grow your establishment.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes, when I was a kid in middle school I always believed in this alma mater Age Quod Agis this mean Do Well What Ever You Do. With all the creative things that I can do as in making websites, influencing others and getting more followers, showing my different creative ways & different designs. I just believe that if you have self confidence in yourself you can achieve anything. Having support is a great thing because you know that someone is right there to support you and have your back.
