We recently connected with Patrice Green and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Patrice, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

In 2019 as a single mother of a NICU 23week miracle, working in healthcare as a Medication Technician I had this revelation that, “my pain is my purpose.” It came to me that everything I’ve been through up to that time in my life God wanted me to use it. After battling the health scares my son faced and postpartum depression for 3 years. I had finally got on my feet but deep down I could hear God tell me I’m destined for more! I decided to start a business! I knew nothing of doing so, so I began to research entrepreneurship. I knew I wanted to start the right way and I knew I wanted to target a market that wasn’t being targeted. I named my business after my Son, A’myr, Amour LLC.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

The market I chose was Body Oils and Essential Oils I later added Car freshener sprays and name brand Perfume & Cologne. I accept any and all request for all oils and fragrances. To let the public know what I was selling I hosted my own very 1st Pop-Up Shop and it was a huge success! While in the preparation process of hosting that event I learned how to graphic design, starting with my business cards and eventually flyers, logos, menus, price lists, you name it! I always say God sat that talent on my lap! In the 1st year I made over 200 designs and gained 1,000+ followers on Facebook. I then created multiple logos for myself and started to offer apparel. Amour LLC offers Tshirts, Sweaters, Hats & Skullies available on AmourLLC.com In the midst of that I Hosted, Co-Hosted and planned several more events: Altogether 11 community flea market events as well as a paint and sip and a free community kids fest. The next one coming up on Memorial Weekend. In 2021 I began to manage Local rapper MGM LongWay of Money Gang Mafia and became a South Carolina Notary Public. In the future I would like to create my own brand perfume and cologne and I’m in the process of writing an urban non fiction book, “Love Trauma” a first of many books to come. What started off as a small oils business has grown and multiplied tremendously into several different businesses and I enjoy every bit of it . I love everything I am now involved with and can’t wait to publish my book and use it to start a non profit organization for domestic violence, Yvette Survivors. My motivation is my Son a miracle in several different ways and this quote inspired my Logo Designs. I felt applied to my Son and the battles he faced as a micro-preemie and since my Brand is named after him….. 💛 “According to all known Laws of Aviation, there is no way that a Bee should be able to Fly. How did you build your audience on social media?

Engaging in social media was the best way for me to build my presence. I engaged with customers and potential customers. I’m an all around loving person so it was easy for me to love and share other’s accomplishments and goals and that love was reciprocated. I aspired to help other small businesses and my willingness to help get others started got the peoples attention.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?

Ultimately I saved what I could from my full time 9-5 job to get started! I tackled one goal at a time. I made a list of everything I needed and checked them all off one by one and only then did I actually launch my business. I made sure to cross every t and dot every i.
