We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Patrice Gant a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Patrice, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

Starting any business can be a daunting task, but when it comes to starting an Intuitive Coaching and Reiki Practitioner business, it requires a special kind of passion and dedication. In my case, the idea came from a deep-rooted desire to help others in a meaningful and profound way. While attending graduate school for M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling I truly began my self-healing journey, and I graduated in 2020.

I have always been drawn to the healing arts, holistic wellness, spirituality and had personal experiences with the power of intuitive guidance and Reiki that have inspired me to share these gifts with others with a combination of what I learned in graduate school.

As an Intuitive Coach and Reiki Practitioner, I can work one-on-one with clients, helping them to tap into their own intuition and inner wisdom, and to heal on a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level.
I knew this would allow me to be of service in a different way than other providers. The combination of my training, personal experiences, and genuine desire to support others on their journey can fill the void of what my community is searching for.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

In 2015 I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration. I did this while working in the law enforcement field. I left law enforcement and then began working with the Department of Human Services/ Foster Care Division. I still felt like something was missing. Which it was, I wasn’t following my path, or acknowledging my authentic self. I know there is a divine purpose and that we all have a spiritual mission that we are on. I, like many, have been side-tracked, in denial, and doing things that were hindering my growth as a person. But just like all, I finally got to a point when running and being in denial was not working anymore. The thirst for knowledge, the hunger to seek, and the knowing that I was supposed to be doing more but no clue as to what. In 2017 I was a restless person due to the previous listed emotions. I began my journey to finding self, along with strengthening my spiritual relationship with God. During this time, I enrolled in graduate school. Along my journey I graduated with my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. The more I relearned myself, I also noticed the cords and bondages (physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually) that were in actualization hindering me from following my life’s path…my soul’s purpose. I also received my Master Practitioner Certification for Holy Fire III Reiki, as well as received my Metatron Reiki Practitioner Certification. I spent time using mental health tools along with holistic healing to empower myself while I healed and continuing healing myself even now. As we all know, the journey to healing and learning never stops.
With all that I have learned and life’s experiences, I am fulfilling my call of service by assisting others. Working with me in any capacity will give you the confidence to act, the coping/life skills you need, and most importantly show you how to be your own light while reigniting the flame that lies within you.

Daughters of Fire is created to help women tap into their feminine energy. The womb is a sacred space that holds all our experiences, emotions, and memories, both positive and negative. Ring of Fire is a guided healing meditation that is offered twice a month. This small group guided meditation and reiki session provides a safe and supportive space for you to explore yourself and your consciousness. During the session, you will be guided through the meditation, allowing you to relax and connect with yourself. After the meditation, there will be a safe discussion where you can share your experience and ask any questions you may have. Additionally, you will have the option to pull a card, providing further insight and guidance. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and engage in self-exploration and healing. I offer various types of Reiki Services. Reiki is a form of alternative healing that aims to balance the energy in your mind, body, and spirit. It involves a Reiki practitioner, like me, who acts as a conduit for the universal life force energy to flow through and into you. The practice of Reiki does not require any religious beliefs or affiliations and is accessible to anyone who wants to experience it. Remember, Reiki is simply a tool to help you connect with your own inner healing power and can be a wonderful addition to any holistic wellness routine.

Congratulations to everyone on their journey towards finding their true purpose in life! It takes a lot of courage to recognize and acknowledge that something is missing and to act towards finding it.
Taking care of oneself is key to being able to help others, and it is amazing to be able to incorporate both traditional mental health tools and holistic practices to empower others to heal themselves.
My main goal is helping others find their own light and reignite the flame within them so they can begin healing and growing as an individual.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to learn that it is okay to make changes as I go. It is okay when plans or ideas don’t execute as you might have originally planned. Learning to adapt to unexpected changes is a crucial skill for any business owner. Even with careful planning and preparation, things don’t always go according to plan. The ability to pivot and adjust your approach can make the difference between success and failure. In fact, some of the most successful businesses today are the result of a pivot or change in direction from their original plan. One key to adaptability is to remain open-minded and willing to consider new perspectives. This can help you spot opportunities and identify areas where you may need to make changes. It’s also important to be resilient and not let setbacks discourage you. Every challenge can be an opportunity to learn and grow, and with persistence and perseverance, you can overcome even the toughest obstacles.

As a business owner, it’s common to face unexpected challenges that can derail your plans or ideas. Rather than getting discouraged by these setbacks, it’s important to view them as opportunities for growth and learning.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

Referrals and word of mouth are powerful marketing tools especially in the wellness and coaching industry. When my clients have positive experiences with my intuitive coaching and reiki Services, they are more likely to recommend me to others. I feel like this also allows for organic growth which shows that I am providing valuable and meaningful support to my clients which is a testament to the quality of my work.
