Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Patience Davis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Patience, thanks for joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
I first quit my corporate job in 2020 right before Covid hit and the world shut down. Many people didn’t agree with my decision, but I knew I heard God clearly and His instruction was to quit my job and start my business. I was a 23 year old single woman living in a major city with a nice car, a sweet puppy and a beautiful studio apartment home. Everything seemed perfect, but my corporate job was draining me spiritually. With little savings and no real plan in mind, I heeded to God’s instruction and quit my job on a whim. That whim being faith or crazy faith if you will. It was a major risk, but God provided every step of the way.
I didn’t jump into real estate right away. First, I published my book “Dear Self” a collection of poetry and proses to help others navigate faith, self-love and rediscovery. After gaining a good bit of popularity on social media through story telling, sharing the book and creating motivational content for others to digest during hard seasons of life, I found myself longing to dive into the real estate industry. My approach to real estate was and is the same with all that I do. Remain guided by faith, fuel my passion for the business with love and be consistently driven by the people God sends my way. Now almost 5 years later I’m still taking risk and truly I probably wouldn’t be if I didn’t take that first one.

Patience, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a faith-driven real estate agent servicing the Columbia, SC and surrounding areas who is passionate about helping people not just find houses, but build homes that reflect purpose, peace, and possibility. I got into this industry with a deep desire to serve, to be a light in what can often feel like a stressful or overwhelming process, and to help individuals and families plant roots that grow for generations to come.
My journey into real estate wasn’t just a career move—it was a calling. I’ve always had a heart for people and a deep love for creating spaces that feel sacred, welcoming, and full of life. With a foundation of trust, care, and clear communication, I walk alongside my clients through every step of the buying or selling process—prayerfully, professionally, and with their vision at the center.
I offer a full range of real estate services—helping clients buy, sell, invest, and relocate—but what I really offer is peace of mind, clarity in decision-making, and a partnership that’s built on genuine care. I serve first-time homebuyers, growing families, investors, and anyone looking to make their next move one that aligns with their values and long-term goals.
What sets me apart is my approach: I see real estate as more than a transaction. I see it as legacy work. I approach each client relationship with intention, prayer, and a desire to help them create a life that feels meaningful—not just for today, but for the generations coming after them.
What I’m most proud of is being able to serve with heart and purpose, and seeing my clients not only find homes they love—but feel seen, supported, and empowered throughout the process.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about me and my work, it’s this:
I’m here to help you find more than a house. I’m here to help you build a home, plant seeds of legacy, and make decisions with confidence, clarity, and faith.

How did you build your audience on social media?
I grew my social media audience from just 1,000 followers to over 230,000 in less than a year—simply by showing up as my authentic self. I know that might sound cliché, but in my experience, it’s the *only* sustainable way to truly grow and connect with an audience.
Sure, there are strategies out there—posting eight times a day, studying algorithms, chasing trends—and while those might bring temporary growth, I’ve found something far more lasting: honesty, vulnerability, and purpose. I don’t pretend to have it all figured out. I share the wins and the hard moments, because social media can often feel like a highlight reel of perfect lives—and I never want to contribute to that illusion. Instead, I use my platform to be real, to be relatable, and to create content that doesn’t just influence, but impacts.
I want people to feel seen. To feel less alone. To walk away from my content feeling inspired to love themselves more fully, to extend more grace, and to live with deeper intention. My journey is proof that you don’t have to be perfect to make an impact. You just have to be *you*—wholeheartedly, courageously, and consistently.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
For me, building a brand is really about building relationships. I stay connected with my clients by nurturing genuine, ongoing conversations—whether that’s through social media, email check-ins, handwritten notes, or simply reaching out to celebrate milestones in their lives. I want people to know that I’m not just here for a moment, but for the long haul.
I also share regular content that reflects who I am and what I value—faith, healing, purpose, and personal growth. That keeps my community engaged in a way that’s real and meaningful. I don’t just post to stay relevant; I share to stay connected. Fostering brand loyalty isn’t about trying to “keep” people—it’s about continuing to serve them. When people feel seen, supported, and uplifted, they naturally stay connected. I believe in pouring into the people who have entrusted me with their time, their stories, and their trust. And in doing so, loyalty grows organically, rooted in mutual respect and authentic connection.
