We recently connected with Pasha Carter and have shared our conversation below.
Pasha, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with education – we’d love to hear your thoughts about how we can better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career
Education is a crucial part of life, and it should provide students with the tools and knowledge necessary to become successful and prosperous in life. However, in the American school system, there is an overwhelming focus on traditional areas of learning, such as mathematics and language arts, while other important topics, such as finances, wealth, and leadership, are often overlooked. It is my belief that the school system should be updated to include more resources and instruction on these topics to better prepare students for their future.
I recall being in my second year of college at the University of Alabama and thinking to myself, “I want to be a millionaire!” I was taking classes on business, finance, and economics but none of them seemed to be teaching me how to make money. Sure, they were teaching me about the stock market and investments, but I wanted to know the secrets to becoming wealthy.
I decided to take matters into my own hands and start researching the principles of wealth building. I read dozens of books and articles on the subject and found some common themes that all millionaires seem to have in common. The main thing I found was that they all had a plan for building wealth and stuck to it. They had a vision for their future and worked hard to make it a reality.
The millionaires I studied had clear goals and a plan to achieve them. They weren’t afraid to take risks and invest in their future. They saved money and put it to work for them by investing in stocks, businesses, and real estate. They also diversified and had more than one income stream.
I also found that the millionaires I studied had an entrepreneurial spirit. They were willing to take calculated risks and weren’t afraid to try new things. They were disciplined and patient, focusing on the long-term goals.
Armed with this knowledge, I set out to create my own plan for building wealth. I started my own business at age 23 with a $500 investment. By the time I was in my thirties I had built a multi- million dollar business.
Looking back, I’m grateful for the lessons I learned in college. Those classes gave me the foundation to build upon. But it was my own determination and hard work that got me to where I am today. I’m living proof that anyone can become a millionaire with a well-thought-out plan and the right attitude.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Friday, January 15, 2021, Steve and Pasha Carter launched VIP Global Magazine, the ultimate business resource to:
Offer actionable business strategies from top entrepreneurs, trendsetters, influencers, and celebrities all over the world
Provide a one-stop shop for kids who want to become entrepreneurs, earn money, or gain leadership skills
Highlight the next generation of entrepreneurs who are making it happen but are not getting next-level recognition
“With VIP Global Magazine, we created something unique,” Pasha explains. “Instead of simply highlighting successful businessmen and women, readers get a complete guide that will take their personal and professional lives to the next level. It’s education and entertainment at its finest. Our content will empower business leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs to achieve unimagined possibilities.”
For the Carters, creating the magazine isn’t just a great solution to close a market gap; it’s personal too. The idea for the magazine evolved when the Carter’s four children started expressing an interest in entrepreneurship.
“Steve and I often have conversations with our children regarding entrepreneurship and leadership,” Pasha states. “They’re constantly expressing their interest in owning businesses, and we thought there should be a way for aspiring business owners to learn from the best entrepreneurs in the world. I believe every child should know how to build a million-dollar business before they leave home. Steve and I, being successful entrepreneurs ourselves, and having met and partnered with so many other entrepreneurs in million-dollar businesses, thought, ‘Why not create a business media outlet to provide tips and strategies for entrepreneurs?’ In so doing we would have a platform for our children to learn exactly how to excel in their areas of interest.”

Any advice for managing a team?
I learned early on in business that my job was to work my way out of a job. I was determined to make sure that the team was full of leaders rather than just managed employees. I wanted to create an environment where everyone would take responsibility for their work and have a positive attitude.
The first step I took was to build a strong team culture. I wanted the team to be supportive of each other and have a clear vision of our collective goals. To do this, I spent a lot of time meeting with each team member and discussing their strengths and weaknesses. I also made sure that everyone had a chance to contribute to the team’s vision.
As the team began to gel, I was determined to keep the morale high. Being a former NFL cheerleader had given me lots of experience in keeping morale high, and I wanted to make sure that my team was just as enthusiastic and inspired. I held weekly team meetings where I would give motivational speeches and encourage everyone to share their ideas about how we could be successful. I also gave out rewards and recognition for those who went above and beyond in their work.
The team was soon performing at a high level and morale was higher than ever. We had achieved our goals and I was proud of everyone for their hard work and dedication. I had created a team of leaders rather than managed employees, and I could see that our collective attitude and effort were paying off. We had become a tight-knit group who were all passionate about what they were doing.
This experience showed me the importance of creating an environment of strong leadership and morale. I learned that even in a business setting, it is important to make sure that the team is united and inspired. I will never forget the lessons that I learned while building my sales and marketing team.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I was 23 when I decided to take the plunge and start my own business . I knew there’d be a lot of risks but I was determined to give it a shot. Little did I know what I was getting myself into.
The first few months were a blur. I was making five figures one month and barely anything the next. I was getting rejected left and right and I quickly found myself in over my head. On top of that, my car got repossessed and I barely had enough money to go to trainings to learn what I needed to succeed in business. I felt like I was in way over my head.
But I kept going. I had to learn how to ride the infamous Entrepreneur roller coaster. I had to learn to manage my emotions and not to get too high or too low. I quickly learned how to adapt to the different highs and lows of the roller coaster.
I remember not having enough money for food at a company convention, so I packed granola bars because I couldn’t afford the food at the hotel. At that convention, I made a decision to take what I had learned and become the best in the game.
I started to find success. I found a few key partners and customers who believed in me and what I was doing. I was able to start building my team and before I knew it, I had one of the largest and most successful sales teams in history.
I learned a lot of lessons along the way. One of the most important things I learned was to stay consistent and never give up. I was determined to reach my goals and I was determined to build a successful business.
I’m so grateful for the incredible journey I’ve been on. I’m grateful for all the highs and lows, the successes and failures. Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s been an incredible ride and I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished.
