We recently connected with Parys Rogan and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Parys, thanks for joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
A few years ago after losing a job, I was determined to turn it into a positive life experience. I wanted to create my own business but wasn’t sure where to start. After reaching out to financial advisors and other entrepreneurs I came to realize no one is willing to help you if it doesn’t profit them. That’s when I trusted God and created “UpLoading”! I wanted to be the help or partner rather, that was there to actually guide and train with other entrepreneurs on their businesses and plans for the future. The best thing that got me most excited was the fact that they were trusting me, and we could see the results happening in reality!
Parys, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I would consider myself as an unusual but needed personality that the world needs. Anyone I meet I search for the potential and inner light that they possess. I got into the business due to my experience of being the youngest in management of a billion dollar company I was given the opportunity to work under for 5+ years. As you can imagine that’s a lot of responsibility for a young guy in his early 20s. But, I took that knowledge and my strive for success to become my own boss. Growing up I was never the shy kid but the kid that wouldn’t sit down and never would be quiet. Making people laugh, smile and feel encouraged is my goal of life I would say. If I don’t impact other’s life in a positive way, then I feel like my mission is incomplete. Family togetherness is most important to me, of course after God.
What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
UpLoading, initially was only supposed to be a hustle that would pay the bills and fulfill my out-to-eat bad habits! But, after seeing the level of clientele increase and others success began to rise, I decided to make this “hustle” become a stream of long income. I started making the graphics and flyers on my phone for myself and family and word got out to others and that’s when I knew I needed to go further. I invested in my first software, or business expense you may call it, a MacBook. After making this purchase my business took off! From creating graphics for known production companies in California, Event planning for local business and running a growing Podcast and social media platform has all been produced from the decision of investing in myself!
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
The greatest lesson I had to learn was that “my business is my business!” Meaning, no one is going to care enough or put in the same amount of time to my dream more than me. So if allow that to happen, then I’m failing as an entrepreneur. My strong work ethic in doing so is what makes clients trust me to push them to the next level and have the desire to work with me in this market of business/influencer development.
