Parrish, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?

The way I came up with the name for my brand is just a lifestyle that I live by. “Anything for the family” means just that. I have always been a family first guy and I know that I always want to preach that message and show that message to the people that surround me. So coming up with the name was either “All for the family” or “Anything for the family” and when I thought about it.. I felt the word anything just has a bigger meaning to me because for me it’s more willing to do anything to make sure that your family is good & so that is how I came up with Anything for the family.

Parrish, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

my name is Parrish. I’m an educator and I am a brand owner. I don’t like to say business because I believe this is something I really believe in it is something that really represents me. I have been doing my brand for a little over four years and we have been really fortunate and successful with our support and our following. we are clothing company also, we are extended vendor to other people who are trying to create clothing and we help those other businesses out as well. We have actually partnered up with over several other brands, including six schools where we have helped them create merchandise as well , and we have really been in a great spot to be a small local brand starting from White Plains, New York and now being in 43 of the 50 states and also in Africa, Mexico and Europe. anything for the family is what me my wife and my two daughters stand for and pretty much want to put My Life in perspective of how we are as a unit and what we want to share and show the world what the word family is all about. we have been fortunate to have our business and our brand going for four years and plan on going forever whether it be through me whether it be through my wife whether it be through my daughters when they get older, we feel like this is something that can last forever as long as we stand by it and we stand on what we believe in… this is something that’s never gonna die out

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I think my reputation is predicated on my values whenever somebody hears about me or talks about me in a way of my family and that’s the reason why the name connect so well with me whenever you talk about me it’s always about what I’ll do what I would do for my friends and family always put them first something that I don’t regret. I’m a loving guy I believe all people should be loved and make sure that those are in my circle for the family is just something that people really believe in the message the quality the work the honesty, the overall message of the anything for the family and I think that is what the reputation is built up Upon.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

One of the lessons I had to unlearn is me being selfish. I always felt like you can do it by yourself Parrish, which isn’t the case you need a great foundational support group to get anywhere in this life. I don’t care what avenue you’re in with creative space or what business you’re doing you need a support group and I know I got that in my family and my friends and always thought I don’t need nobody. I’ll be by myself and it was a hard time doing that selfish kind of living granted there is a space for just me and I make sure to make time for just me , I’ll be lying if I said I wouldn’t be here by myself without my support group
