Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Parker Maser. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Parker, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you tell us about an important lesson you learned in school and why that lesson is important to you?
The most impactful lesson I got from school was learning how to keep going even when people were negative or doubted me. There will always be people who don’t believe in you, but instead of letting that stop me, I learned to use it as fuel—not out of spite, but to prove to myself that I could rise above it. That really showed up in my own journey. I went to a magnet high school, and right after that I was supposed to go to massage school in Las Vegas. But at 17, I was too young, and I had to pause that dream. At first, it was discouraging—like people were telling me what I couldn’t do. But instead of giving up, I kept going and ended up getting placed into the Sacramento massage school, where I really started to thrive. That experience taught me that when people doubt you or put limitations on you, you don’t stop—you keep moving forward and find another way. In the end, it made me stronger and more determined, and that mindset has stuck with me in every part of my life and career.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a certified Neuromuscular Massage Therapist with a passion for making therapy impactful for clients who haven’t been taken seriously by the medical system. My journey into massage therapy began long before I ever stepped into a classroom—I spent six years living with chronic pain, being brushed off by doctors, handed prescriptions, and left unheard by western medicine. That experience pushed me to create something different: a safe space where people feel truly listened to and supported.
Working with chronic pain clients has become my heart’s work. I love combining compassion, advanced training, and out-of-the-box thinking to help people find real relief. Along the way, I’ve been grateful to work with such a wide range of amazing humans, each teaching me something new about resilience and healing.
On the personal side, I’m also a published author. With the support of many massage friends and colleagues, I created QuickPath—a portable, practical guide that gives massage therapists quick and reliable pathology insights right at their fingertips. I designed it so therapists can feel confident and prepared during sessions, even when working with conditions they might not be as familiar with, or when they need clarity on what’s safe for their client that day.
At the end of the day, my goal is simple: I want to make an impact on every single client who comes to me for care, and I want to empower massage therapists to feel like they’ve got a supportive coworker in their back pocket with QuickPath.
How did you build your audience on social media?
For me, being professional and honest has always worked best. I make sure to post about things people actually want to know quickly—like if I have an opening, a last-minute cancellation, or a limited-time offer. Something as simple as, “I have a 60-minute spot open tomorrow,” can catch someone scrolling on their phone and make them think, Oh, I’ve been wanting to try Parker out—I’ll grab that spot.
I also believe in keeping it simple. You don’t need every post to be picture-perfect with candles lit and everything staged. Most of the time, simpler is better—just your brand name, a link to your booking site, and a clear message. Whether it’s something general like “I have openings this week” or something specific like “$5 off hot stone sessions,” being genuine goes a long way. People can spot realness in a sea of polished posts, and that authenticity is what makes them trust you and want to book with you.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Word of mouth will always be the best strategy to grow a massage therapy practice. In my field, it’s often your specialty that spreads the fastest from person to person. For example, if your focus is pregnancy massage and you see ten different clients, even if only one of them came for that specialty, that’s the thing they’ll remember and pass along when they tell others about you.
People naturally like to connect you with something specific—whether that’s your specialty, your brand, or even the feel of your office. That clear focus is what makes you stand out in their minds. Of course, as massage therapists we work with many different clients and modalities, but the passion you bring to your specialty shines through. And the more passionate you are about that one thing, the more others will notice—and share it.
