We recently connected with Paola Zamudio and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Paola thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
I hope that my legacy is about creating the career of your dreams, opening doors to others and staying true to yourself.

Paola, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a leader and rule-breaker in the historically hierarchical design industry, where I’m on a mission to coach creatives alike under my direction. As a minority in the industry, I’m a proud Latina leading a team of women and inspiring through design, research, and innovation. My projects share a common goal: designing spaces to inspire future generations. This includes curating spaces that promote health + wellness, as well as connecting the dots so that my projects have a distinct brand identity represented physically + digitally.
NPZ’s work has been recognized by different design, architecture, and industry publications through various features and awards opportunities for my projects, one of which is the world-known project, Bell Works, where I has been the Lead Designer + Creative Director since I joined the project in 2014. Bell Works is continuing to grow and flourish across the U.S. with a location in NJ and IL, which can be attributed to my passion for the brand + design of the project.
CEO, I’m an alumna of Polimoda with a Master’s Degree in Trend Forecasting, received a Bachelor of Arts and Science from Barry University with a specialty in Communications and a minor in Musical Theater. I also attended the Fashion Institute of Technology for our Fashion Styling and Image Consulting Programs, The New School for our Interior Design Program, and most recently Future London Academy for our Executive Design Leaders Program.
My design work can be attributed to my cultural experiences, from traveling to different corners of the world to paying homage to my Colombian roots. Biophilia has always been a part of my design perspective due to my appreciation and understanding of plants in daily life. I’m a designer, a collector, a researcher, and I always adding to my mind’s ever-developing mood board to bring to my projects a unique approach and one of a kind results.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Listening to each other, leading by example, and being open to fresh ideas.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Doing exceptional work that is authentic and inspiring.
