We recently connected with Paola De La Concha Zindel and have shared our conversation below.
Paola, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I learned about sound healing with different spiritual teachers each showing me the power of frequency to align our body mind and soul. Through my own traumatic lilfe experiences I came to a moment in my life of the deepest LOW and heightenerd state of the nervous system. Through meditative practice and tuning into myself, a lot of reading and studying and practiving with friends i discovered sound as a principle for restoration and healing.

Paola, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Paola Palo-Mah and I am a mexican-american sound vessel entrepeneur and artist. I founded the sound alchemy school called @thesoundbody to train alchemists in this new era to anchor the loving frequencies for our bodies, societies, nature and Gaia herself. Currently I am creating also herbal paintings with sonic frequency, offering workshops for voice and body and in general bridging the arts, the body and our voices so that more people can emerge and remember the cosmic and earthly tools that we have in our ancestry to resound the planet and our realities.
@thesoundbody is a sound alchemy school where folks on their way to awakening participate and learn ancestral tools from different lineages in a non-dogmatic environment that promotes their own awareness intuitive practice and creation skill-set towards the embodiment of our highest potential for our lives and that of others. We work online and in presence in Mexico and different parts of the world with organic instruments, sweat lodge, Land based practices, creative awareness and intimate gatherings towards our new song practice.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
YES I believe art movement and music are one of the many ways that Humyns can get out of their heads and into their bodies and their humyn awareness. The joy that this brings is transformative, it brings us to our center. It is revolutionary and it is potent and needed . Creating JOY creates health and inspiration and strengthens community , as we connect t oour own self worth power and voice we connect to our capacity to create new realities.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I was persecuted by the mexican government for my activism and had to leav my country in exhile for several years. This taught me about resiliency, about risign from the ashes about being trauma-informed, about my capacity to chose myself over my story of violence and my capacity to start singing after the crying. I chose to sing.
