Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Pamela Jara-Arancibia. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Pamela, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?
I started Loverzdo Weddings, with my fiance, Ramin during the pandemic. We both came into the pandemic with totally different career paths and had you asked us if we saw ourselves where we are now; we wouldn’t have ever guessed it. We both had very stable and promising jobs for an abundant future but we both knew that our hearts just weren’t in it. I do wish we had started our business sooner because that means we would be years ahead and past the start up stage of our business. But I’m a firm believer that everything reaches you in the right time and although I think we would be ahead in our business; I know that the opportunity to start our business reached us in the perfect time and that the right doors will open up for us (and they already have!)
My background is in finance; so I handle all of the behind the scenes admin work like contracts, processes, marketing and finances of our business. Ramin’s background is in accounting and project management but his passion is photography and videography. He’s the founder, lead photographer/videographer and creative director of our business. Although we both wish we would’ve started our business sooner, we also know that we learned a lot about business, entrepreneurship and handling tough situations in our previous jobs that really prepped us to be business owners. Ramin has more experience than I do as an entrepreneur, since he’s had businesses prior to Loverzdo. For me this is uncharted waters and it’s nice to have the support of my partner and also learn from someone I know has nothing but my/our best interest at heart.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My background is in Finance and I sort of fell into my career while going to college when I needed an adult job to help my single mom and also start to support myself in my early 20’s. I’ve always taken a lot of pride in my work and I always aim to be really good at whatever it is that I’m doing. This trait allowed me to learn on the job, grow and advance my career through merit. Even though I was really good at what I did, I was on a path of growth in my career and I didn’t *hate* my job; I never thought I could do anything else. I knew I didn’t wake up eager to go to work; but I also didn’t mind my job. I was in a happy and comfortable space but I also knew that what I was doing didn’t feed my creative itch to create. I always dreamed of being an entrepreneur but for some reason I never *really* believed it was in the cards for me. When the opportunity presented itself for Ramin, my fiance, and I to start our own business together; it just made sense. We’re both really particular about the details, quality and exceptionally good service. When we explored building a luxury wedding production company; the ideas just flowed. There was nothing more exciting than building the business of our dreams that would live up to the quality we would appreciate ourselves as customers.
Our brand is very representative of who we are at the core. I’ve never been into trends and have always been a very classic girl. I’ve always loved the arts, written word and the edgy rebellion that came with each art era. That’s really representative of our brand. We’re luxury and classic but not like what you’ll see everywhere else. When you search for a wedding photographer; you’ll probably see a lot of airy and romantic photographs. Beautiful and representative of that couple and photographer; but our style is not that. Our couples are modern and dare to stand out in the most luxurious way. Our cinematography approach is very tactful and we pay attention to the way we shoot and the subtleties of how we edit our films. Our art is the rebellion of not being satisfied with the status quo and always pursuing for better quality and the best way to tell our couples love stories – because every couple deserves a cinema love story.
We’re currently based out of the San Francisco Bay Area and we provide luxury wedding photography and wedding films. We service the SF Bay Area, Los Angeles and New York and travel too!

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
For me; my most effective strategy to bringing in clients to our business has been growing my personal brand. When I first started my online personal brand and presence I wasn’t yet sure what I would do with it or where it would lead to. I did know that whatever it was; I wanted to always be seen as a professional and build trust that I provided value to my audience. Since I first started my online personal brand; I’ve pivoted a few times but what has always remained the same has been who I am at the core. My followers know and trust me and have become my marketing alleys. I’ve lost count how many times a client has come into my business as a referral from social media.
My online community has seen me start, learn and grow and I’ve shared it all with them. Also, this is an unpopular opinion but you don’t need tens of thousands of followers to make money or start a business. I’m a firm believer that building a strong online presence and community brings higher return than a large audience that is unengaged. So for me, investing time every day to nurture my small but mighty online community is so important. They’re the reason I have a business. I am offered opportunities and a lot of times they’re the ones hiring me or referring me to their friends and family.
If I could give someone wanting to start a business just one piece of advice; it would be start building your personal brand now. Before you start your business; you want to have an audience who loves, trust and supports you.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I’m very particular about details and so is Ramin, my co-founder. It’s probably the most annoying thing working together but also the thing that unites us the most.
Our clients hire us because they notice the subtle details we pride ourselves in and when they work with us; we don’t skimp on any of the details from onboarding, to service, and delivery of the final product. We put ourselves in our customers shoes and give them what we’d like to receive, quality service, attention to detail and ease of working together. To us, that’s the luxury experience that sets us apart.
