We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Pallavi Bora. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Pallavi below.
Hi Pallavi, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
As AI continues to evolve, continuous learning has become more essential than ever. Using AI tools is one part of the journey but designing and creating AI products is a much bigger challenge. There’s no single roadmap or perfect answer to it because we’re all building and discovering in real time. This revolution is unfolding as we grow, and every day brings new learnings. While this is exciting, it also reminds us of something important that we learn not just from technology, but from the people around us.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a Senior Product Designer specialising in AI. I design ethical, human-centred AI experiences, that translate complex AI technology into meaningful products, and advocate for responsible, accurate understanding of AI. My mission is to ensure AI is built thoughtfully, transparently and in a way that empowers people.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is to shape AI in a way that puts humans first, designing products that are ethical, transparent, and genuinely useful while empowering people with the right knowledge so they can engage with AI confidently and responsibly.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
As AI entered mainstream products, I realised there was no clear answer or playbook to build it the right way, but just constant learning. Along the way, I discovered that not every problem needs AI, humans must come before systems, ethics is non-negotiable, and collaboration is essential. These lessons shaped my mission to design AI that is ethical, human-centred and trustworthy and that helps other understand and engage with AI responsibly.
