We recently connected with Paige Hoover and have shared our conversation below.

Paige, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

Taking a risk is probably one of the scariest thing to do as a creative. Even more so, they just get bigger. Taking the first leap of faith is definitely a hard one as you have no idea how it’s going to turn out. It’s something you have to learn to be okay with, no matter the outcome. Whether it be an audition, casting, traveling for a job, working with a new company, or even attempting a new skill… the risk is always worth it. Even if it’s just a lesson learned.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Paige Hoover and I am a model/actress currently based in Columbus, Ohio. I do my best to represent women with a similar body type in the fashion industry as it tends to be over looked or not taken seriously. I do a lot of lifestyle modeling as well as editorial shoots that really bring my creative ideas to life. Acting along side modeling has really allowed me to tap into emotions and really feel the work I’m doing. My goal is to show others that it’s possible to achieve your dreams regardless of what society might say. All of the work that I do is part of a healing journey for my inner child, as that is very important to me.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

Being in the creative industry isn’t always easy but is absolutely worth the reward of self expression. The projects I work on truly allow me to tap into my soul and express myself in ways I normally wouldn’t be able to do. The real magic is when every collaborator contributes a piece of their creative mind and it all comes together so beautifully.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

In life, I really feel that my goal at its core is to heal myself and help heal others. As we all have, I’ve experienced and struggled with my own troubles. I’ve found that creative self expression, doing what makes me happy, and living my truth are some of the most healing and empowering things I could do. If I can inspire even one person to follow their dreams or believe in what you deserve, that’s all that matters to me. Showing women that you can completely change your life and write your own narrative is what drives my work, as it’s what helped me on my journey.
