We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Paige Duncan a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Paige, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I want my legacy to be about not giving up. There were so many moments where it would’ve been easier to get a stable 9–5, to let someone else tell me what to do and collect a paycheck. But something in me knew I had to try. I actually lost my job before I had any clients — and instead of panicking, I took it as a sign. It lit the fire under me that I needed.
There were times I didn’t know how I was going to pay my bills, and it would’ve been easy to quit. But I didn’t. I kept going, even when it was hard, even when I doubted myself. And now, two years later, I’m still showing up. I’m still learning. I’m still building.
I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I want my legacy to reflect that — that I chose the harder, more meaningful path. That I created a life I love by helping others become the healthiest version of themselves, while also growing into the best version of myself. That’s what I hope people remember.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My journey originally began with yoga, which sparked a deeper interest in holistic health and the body itself. After shifting and evolving my business over the years, I eventually discovered Brazilian lymphatic drainage. I instantly knew I had to add it to my practice — I couldn’t believe we didn’t grow up learning about the lymphatic system and how essential it is to our overall health.
Now, I specialize in lymphatic drainage and holistic wellness. My clients come to me with everything from lymphedema and inflammation to chronic bloating and sluggishness. Every body is different, and my goal is always to give people a personalized experience — something that meets them where they are and helps them build healthier habits in the process.
I want people to leave feeling like they’ve had a reset, a boost, and a moment to breathe.
What I’m most proud of is building this business from scratch, through real results and word of mouth. What sets me apart is the intention I bring to my work. I care deeply about the people I work with, and I always aim to create a space where they feel supported, seen, and better than when they walked in.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
As a newer entrepreneur, your integrity and dedication are everything. It’s not always about the glamorous parts — it’s about showing up, being on time, answering emails, following through, and doing the work even on the days you don’t feel like it. That consistency builds trust. And over time, people feel that. I think that’s what’s helped me build my reputation more than anything.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective way I’ve grown my clientele has been through word of mouth. When someone has a powerful experience, when they feel cared for, seen, and actually notice results, they naturally want to share that. But that is the same advice I got starting out and while it is true, building from the ground up takes time. Even if it feels impossible right now, keep showing up and putting in the work. Consistency matters and eventually, it will pay off.
That said, having an online presence has also been huge. Building my Instagram and having a website helps people not only discover me, but also get a sense of who I am and what I’m about. In today’s world, people want to feel a connection before they book — and platforms like Instagram give them that preview. It helps create comfort and trust before they even walk through the door.
