We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Paige Bounassi. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Paige below.
Paige, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
I am originally from New York. I came to Los Angeles when I was 19 and fell in love with it. I didn’t always know I wanted to do realty. Coming from a low income household I always believed home ownership was a far away fantasy. Until I took the time to learn and understand the process I thought you needed to make millions to buy a home. Now that I know what really goes in to the home buying process – I’m making it my mission to help others. I want everyone to know they can create generational wealth for their families and I will be there every step of the way with them.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
So I am a Realtor in California as well as the Staffing Manager at my brokerage NextHome Grandview. I am here to help clients and other agents through the home buying and selling process.
I not only help with residential purchases but I also have a love for commercial transactions as well. Whether it’s buying a new home or opening up a new business I’m here to find you the ideal space!
I have always gone above and beyond for my clients. All of my buyers have closed at or below asking with credits. I love helping people so this is absolutely my passion.
I also just worked with my broker Michael Zargarian and my co manager Christine Babayan to plan our Kenneth Village grand opening! It was an amazing event and we’re planning to host another one for our La Crescenta location so keep an eye out for that!
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
So my first deal as a Realtor was extremely complicated and I feel like I had every obstacle thrown at me. There were so many times I felt discouraged – but with the help of my broker and trusting myself I was able to still help my buyers close on their home below asking price, with credits, in the height of the pandemic.
I knew I didn’t have the same experience as the other agent but I worked so hard to learn as much as I could about the business and the transaction process that I was able to go above and beyond for my clients.
Even when you question yourself and your abilities (which I still do) take time to reflect on all you’ve done – because that’s exactly what I had to do. I know now that I am a knowledgeable agent and I can provide the best service for my clients.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
It’s not so much a lesson to unlearn but a lesson to be brought to light if that makes sense.
I’ve spoken to so many clients who had the same misconceptions about home buying as I once did. Unless you go looking for the answers no one is going to explain to you how to buy a home. Or why owning your own home builds equity and can be the foundation for financial freedom and generational wealth within individuals and families.
There are so many loan programs and types of homes that can make home buying a reality. Maybe a client can qualify for an FHA loan and purchase a duplex to live in and rent one side out? That’s what I did for my brother and he has almost his entire mortgage paid for by his tenants.
There are so many possibilities when it comes to real estate. And I would love to teach my clients and show them all of their options.
