Hi Paige, thanks for joining us today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?

I always try my best to ensure that each guest comes and leaves my salon suite feeling their absolute best along with feeling appreciated!

To show my appreciation for example when I have a guest purchase retail from my salon I always include a little gift in the bag. Gift giving is my love language so I love giving them a little something to show a token of my appreciation.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My brand name is The Color Studio!

I have been working behind the chair for 8 years now and I literally love it so much I can’t see myself doing anything else as a career.

Aside from being a hairstylist I am a small business owner and it is a lot of work more than you think but it’s so rewarding!

Have you ever had to pivot?

I would say Covid definitely made the hair industry different and that was hard to understand at times.

Shutting down salons let alone the world was the weirdest thing to me!
I actually was laid off at a former salon at the time due to Covid and being pregnant during that period. It was very hard to adjust to the fact I wasn’t able to work for a while.

Thankfully we seem to have over came that hump and things are even better than before Covid.

How did you build your audience on social media?

Social media is everything now days! Literally a second job for some people in certain careers.

With that being said you have to always stay up to date with the trends and content! Sometimes it can be overwhelming since I’m solo at the moment but I’d say Instagram and Tik Tok can definitely help your career blow up!
