We were lucky to catch up with Page Weinstein recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Page, thanks for joining us today. Any thoughts around creating more inclusive workplaces?
As Miss Pennsylvania 2024, I am very dedicated to my 501(c)3 corporation, Confident Heart, Courageous Soul, Inc., I witnessed firsthand how people with disabilities face discrimination. I am an advocate of establishing a more inclusive society. I teach individuals that regardless of the story society tries to force on you, you are capable… you are worthy… you are loved!
Page, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Despite beauty and fashion industries pusing for more representation across skin tones, gender expressions, and body types, the visibility for people with disabilities remains largely overlooked. Through my cosmetics products, Beauty For All, I include adaptive makeup tools and products that cater to people of ALL ages, genders, skin tones, and abilities. This is an innovative approach to making people feel beautiful and courageously unique in their own skin.
I was crowned Miss Pennsylvania 2024 in June. As Miss Pennsylvania, I travel across the state promoting inclusion for people with disabilities. I attend many events including, but not limited to golf tournaments and speaking engagements. I visit schools across our state to promote kindness and inclusion.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Never give up! I competed for Miss Pennsylvania many times. I finally achieved my goal in 2024. It provides me with a voice to travel across Pennsylvania promoting inclusion for people with disabilities. In January, I will bring my community service initiative to a national stage where I will represent Pennsylvania in the Miss America Competition in Orlando.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
As a fierce advocate for people with disabilities, I witness how people with disabilities are overlooked and how they struggle to receive the recognition they deserve. I share my story with them about competing for the title of Miss Pennsylvania many times before succeeding. I almost did not compete for the title of Miss Pennsylvania this past year. I was diagnosed with skin cancer. In my heart, I knew that I had to compete this year. I am so glad that I did! My goal is to inspire people to be kind, inclusive, and keep trying!
