We recently connected with Pack Heavy and have shared our conversation below.
Pack, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with education – we’d love to hear your thoughts about how we can better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career?
I believe that students should have more education on finances, credit, taxes, and managing their mind. Our school system today does not coach us on working for ourselves, managing our finances, and how to obtain a sense of our purpose to achieve true happiness. True happiness to me is doing what you love and living through that talent. We were all born with a talent and a purpose, however, regurgitating definitions, book knowledge, and making A’s on irrelevant ideas that serve no purpose in real life does not help us discover our calling. We are also not taught how to invest, manage cash flow, sell a product or skill, and many more vital characteristics for obtaining success. There is so much information in books and YouTube!
There is only three things you need to know about money: how to earn it, how to store it, and how to reinvest it and multiply it. Earned income goes into self enhancement and the business, then you re-earn and sacrifice. Once you self enhance and do well, you have extra stored income. Lastly, once you have enough stored, you go broke investing into an income producing asset. Then repeat this process.
One subject in school that I think more people should focus on is Math. We do Math everyday, whether we realize it or not. When we calculate time, budgeting, paying bills, even when we stop at a red light, we are doing Math. All in all, every idol has excellent Math skills or they hire someone to do it for them.
Lastly, I would suggest that people gain control of their mind by working through their traumas. One cannot elevate if they are vibrating at a low frequency. One should aim to achieve a higher sense of self, love self, seek knowledge, and read more often. In addition, meditation and showing gratitude is truly calming and a peaceful act for one’s mental health. We all should run towards our fears more. On the other side of fear is success. One cannot achieve progress without struggle. Problems will never end. Every solution is the beginning to a new problem. Take more risks on yourself, create more often. Creation is the greatest energy on this Earth.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
My name is Pack Heavy and I am from Memphis, TN. I am a DJ, Music Producer, Audio Engineer, Day Trader, and Serial Entrepreneur. I am mostly known for my productions in the music industry and my initial break through as a DJ. I have produced for some artists such as Blac Youngsta, Blocboy JB, Big Unccc, Clay Krucial, Big Roguish, BT Traptized, and Whyte Folks. Memphis Anthem is pushing towards 1 million views, go check that out!
I started off as a DJ when everyone was in school figuring out what college they were going to. Something in me felt as though I was choosing something for my parents and not me. One day I ran into my friend spinning records on a classic Technic Turntable. I practiced for 24 hours straight that night with no sleep. I knew then, that music was a passion for me. It was my first love. After growing a name in the college scene as a DJ traveling to different states, I heard someone playing the piano as I was walking to class in college. I had an epiphany to start creating the music I was spinning on the tables. After creating about 200 crappy beats, I taught myself piano and stayed focus.
I met up with an old friend who is a producer today by the name of Hitman PG. He gave me the sauce I needed to master music theory and we made beats together often. I learned a lot from him. We were making beats during a school break and landed an intro beat placement on Clay’s album. I saw Yo Gotti listening to the song on Instagram. Not too long after we linked with CMO, who is a platinum producer now. He ended up collaborating with us on a beat that would come to get placed with Blac Youngsta. This landed me a spot on the XXL track list next to some of my favorite producers such as Yung Lan, Trauma Tone, Tay Keith, and TNT. I was also mentioned on Genius as well. I cannot thank Hitman PG and CMO enough for the door they opened in my career.
I sell beats, recording time, and my merchandise is on the way. I also have a producers course that I am selling where I speed up the process of marketing yourself, securing leads, learning piano, selling beats, and the music business. I also have an eBook on Credit and Financial Budgeting Hacks. I have some midi kits, drums kits, and loop kits in the works. I am also a life consultant as well for people seeking out to learn more about spirituality and how to get right within. In addition, I plan on dropping a website, placing my book on Amazon, and creating a recorded producer course for those I cannot connect with on a consistent basis. Finally, I also do not mind sharing some insight on trading for a small fee for consulting as well.
I have helped artists obtain their royalties when conducting business with me. I have helped some people increase their credit score and remove negative marks off their report. I have helped some first time producers land their first beat sell. I taught them piano and how to mix their beats properly as well. I make people around me more aware of their hidden purpose by asking the same questions that helped me discover mines. I have helped some people refocus their life and become more equipped to move up the ladder. When you shop with Pack Heavy LLC, you are purchasing value that comes with a genuine energy and high vibration! Great Quality for a Great Price! One of my purposes in life is to raise the energy of the Planet. What sets me apart from others is my ability to create an atmosphere of elevation and a sense of higher self. I put my soul, spirit, and energy into everything I do. I will not stop until the customer is satisfied. I truly enjoy assisting and helping others. Nothing moves me more than to spread positivity in the universe. One would say that I tend to be a floor general by making those around me greater. I do not withhold knowledge or opportunity from anyone who engages me for insight. Being a native from Memphis says enough about setting my beats apart from others. Memphis is running the music scene and has been for a while. We have influenced a lot of artists with our sound!
The name Pack Heavy initially started off as Pacmann. People kept calling me Pack for short. Eventually I added Heavy behind it. Pack resembles my layers of gifts and talents that reveal my versatility and intelligence. I plan to apply these layers so heavy until I’m too heavy to move me out of my spot. This is where the birth of Pack Heavy came from.
I am mostly proud of how I utilized music to save me in some of my down moments in life. It’s a different experience as a DJ to see how many frequencies you can impact in one night. As a DJ you are an energy orchestrator. Someone could have a terrible day until they step into a party you are spinning at. Making someone’s day just by buying them a drink and giving them an incentive to get out is very refreshing to me. However, nothing compares to writing a melody and drum line and then watching +500,000 people listen to something you created at home. The biggest crowd I provided musical entertainment for was about 2000 people in one party. Once the party is over, that’s it. On the contrary, when you release a song, it’s infinite and pays you forever! I am extremely proud of the man that I have become today, given the tough neighborhood I grew up in. Most importantly, I am proud of my major placements and Memphis Anthem pushing towards my first million views on YouTube!
I want the people to know that I am a genuine soul. I would never sell you anything or teach you anything that I would not use or implement myself. I love music, helping others, and providing memorable value to everyone who shops with me. Pack Heavy LLC’s mission is to create an energetic experience unlike no other through our products and services that gains our customer’s trust.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn society. I had to unlearn the “Supposed To” culture. Society tells us to go to school, accrue debt, retire at 65, and then live life. Become a worker for someone else, make someone else’s dream come true. The culture I am referring to are the stereotypes and numerous standards that everyday people place on existing in this life. I could never understand it, because you will be judged regardless of what you do.
When I opted out of society at the age of 13, I received a lot of backlash from family and people who are still under society’s chokehold. Had I listened to “society” I would not be Pack Heavy. I would probably still be chasing football to be quite honest with you all.
When you begin to live for yourself and make your visions become a reality, you bother others who are scared to take a chance on themselves. They say things like, “You’re selfish. You’re crazy. How are you going to complete that?” Stay away from these people. Steer away from “society”.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I started off with a pawn shop boombox and a cheap HP laptop as a DJ with no powered speakers or a microphone. I saved up money from my gigs until I could afford better equipment. Later on, I got lucky enough to discover a financing musical equipment website where they ship after your first monthly payment.
I used this site and DJ money to save and invest into my producing career. I made sure to always keep steady income from a job or any side hustle I could find.
Eventually I invested into a credit consulting course and now I only swipe credit cards. I plan on applying for business credit under my LLC once I finish cleaning up my credit. The money I kept storing is being utilized in crypto defi, my personal ROTH IRA, trading, and my investments to come. Cash flow is the game!
