We were lucky to catch up with Pachion Moore recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Pachion, thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Taking risks and being okay with failing. You don’t know if it will work out if you don’t try it first. If it does great! However, if it doesn’t, thats when you get to figure out what works and what didn’t work. You fail, get up and try it again, but differently until you get it right. You’ll find success as you get up, go and get out of your comfort zone. We are our biggest critic and 9 times out of 10 most people don’t recognize or even dwell on our failures, it’s just us.
Pachion, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a Life Coach. Really a mindset and lifestyle coach! I a little bit of a busy body as I still work a 9-5 job and I’m a mom to a very involved young man. However, I always make time for fun with friends and family so I don’t sit still often.
I got into life coaching just based on my experiences in life. I became a single mom pretty young in life so I’ve had my fair share of obstacles along the ride. Still everyday there is no telling what the challenge may be, but I look at things differently because of the lessons I’ve had along the way. I had a pretty good support system and met amazing people along the way that helped me find many different resources to get me where I am today. I had gotten into some really low and dark places and figured the only way I can get out of that position is if I made things move myself. Praying and worrying wasn’t going to work. So, having gone through some of my experiences I started placing myself in environments of like minded people, I started leading women’s groups, and really found a passion for just helping any young women in need of of trying to figure out next steps for themselves. I realized that’s where I’m most comfortable and feel as if Im making a difference. So I pursued getting my Masters degree in Life Coaching a few years ago and it has been the most rewarding experience since doing so.
With my life coaching business I help young ladies and women ages 14-35 learn and gain the skills they need to overcome obstacles in their lives. Helping them get started on the path to creating the life they want for themselves by actually creating action steps. I use journaling often, strengths assessments, SMART goals, and the GROW model. I typically help with areas around, Accountability, Goal Setting, Time Management, Budgeting, Career Coaching, Relationship Coaching, and Mindset Coaching.
I also offer in person and online sessions depending on the locations of my clients. My prices are along the more affordable side because I do believe in helping people become successful without them going broke. I offer 2 main packages, Fast Fix which is 1 month long (4 sessions), and then Deep Dive which is 3 months (12 sessions). I typically start everyone off with 1 month and then from there if you are wanting to do sessions as needed or not within one of those packages it’s $55 per session. Sessions are about 45mins to an hour long.
So far with my business I have created these packages for individual 1-on-1 coaching, and also a self development journal that is out on Amazon, that I am super proud of. My brand is of course still shaping and developing, but it’s really about self awareness and growth and that’s what I want my clients to get out of all of the services and products that I provide.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I think the last 9 years of my life and how I have moved and positioned myself within each season shows my resilience. However, I think the process in trying to get to the point where I can start my business was a difficult time. While I was in school trying to finish my Masters in Life Coaching my personal life and mental health was not the best. I was in a phase in life where I felt very lost and had gotten to a point where it seemed odd even to myself that I was working towards being a life coach when my own life was in shambles. I had to do the work to help myself again all while trying to learn how to help others. I battled myself a lot on rather I was going down the right path or not but I felt pulled in that direction still. After getting myself the help I needed for my mental health and getting closer to my graduation, I started doing the work of creating my brand and structure of my business and it’s programs. I promise you I hit every wall with each step. There was delay after delay and I was honestly surprised with myself that I didn’t get so upset that I would give up. Along with delays with paperwork and trying to pay for certain things, I got in a car accident 1 week before the launch of my business which also held up the launch of my website. It was a hard couple of months but I made it through. Honestly, I had to take things one day at a time.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
As long as you have the support of your friends, you’ll be good. In all actuality, strangers will be the first ones to support you over your friends. Since having a business I noticed that I’ve had to ask some of those closest to me if they can pretty please share a post so that I can get some exposure. However, that doesn’t mean they aren’t still my friends, I just now know that everyone is not going to support you the same way that you would or would like them too. Just know who your friends are as people and love them as they are. Just believe in yourself and promote yourself because that’s all that matters.
