We were lucky to catch up with Pablo Desde El Patio recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Pablo thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Innovation comes in all shapes, sizes and across all industries, so we’d love to hear about something you’ve done that you feel was particularly innovative.
Without a doubt, having moved with my family from Argentina to the United States was and is one of the most innovative and revolutionary events in our lives because of everything that it implies and because of the challenges that lie ahead.
Pablo, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Pablo, I am 47 years old and 7 years ago I started a Blog (DesdeElPatio.US) to tell about the trips I made and share the photos of the planes that passed through the Patio of my house in the province of Buenos Aires, in Argentina
I had and am lucky enough to travel and get to know many cities around the world as well as places related to the airline industry.
In this sense, “Desde El Patio” is a website and an extensive ecosystem of social networks and digital platforms dedicated to sharing information about aircraft, international aeronautical events and tourism around the world.
I have the enormous privilege of having a name within the aeronautical community and the respect of the companies with which I interact, this being a huge source of pride.
Since the month of January 2022, after the move from Argentina to the south of the state of Florida, we began to generate and share exclusive content from the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean with special interest in enhancing our influence in the Spanish-speaking segment, adding all the experience in Argentina and Latin America.
In this sense, we have carried out actions with American Airlines (flight to London), Norse Atlantic (flight from Oslo), Air Europa (flight to Madrid from Miami and New York), Spirit (flight to Chicago) and Frontier (flight to Atlanta). JetBlue (flight to New York), Allegiant (flight to Wisconsin), which undoubtedly has an impact on a growth in the local audience that manifests itself in more followers and readers.
In the month of April 2022 we have created a new radio called “Conectados Radio” with different programs and proposals, with the mission of being online 24 hours Creating Community, being a link between all the Spanish-speaking people who are living in the United States. States and those who want to live in this country
All this makes Desde El Patio an ideal space, because it is always nice to plan a trip, get on a plane and travel :)
What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
From the first moment, Desde El Patio began as a hobby and a space to share my experiences.
My work and professional development had nothing to do with or was related to airplanes and travel, so one activity was always separated from the other.
Over the years and the generation of content, Desde El Patio grew in size, content, readers, and followers, and that gave me a new dimension in this story.
Undoubtedly, one of the most important moments occurred in 2016 where, with just 2 years of existence, I obtained an invitation to the city of Seattle for what was the 100th Anniversary of the Boeing company.
From there, trips around the world began to take place that led me to discover and visit incredible places related to the world of airplanes.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
The arrival of COVID-19 and the pandemic was, without a doubt, a key moment in this entire history since, together with my family, we made the decision to emigrate from Argentina to continue our lives in the south of the state of Florida, United States. , from where today I am creating and generating content for Desde El Patio and Conectados Radio
